>Makes XP amulets >Puts them only in the first town >Locks them behind levels that you won't even get to by the first town even when clearing every single mob >Makes them so expensive you'll never pay for them without cheating
If ever there was a good idea with terrible execution, this is it.
Great mod, and kind of mandatory if you want to push into the Elite difficulty on the multiplayer map. I tried going for the level 83 legit but I gave up at around 77.25 mark. Just for context, clearing the entire map around the 3 final cities on Veteran was giving me a grand total of ~0.2 levels. That is a ~60 minute run for 1/5th of a level. A run which I've already done dozens and dozens of times just to reach this point. And that is at level 77. The requirements go up exponentially. The multiplayer map on Veteran has absolutely no relevant content for levelling from like level 75 and up. Whoever set the level thresholds for accessing cities on Veteran and unlocking Elite had absolutely no idea what they were doing. We're talking hundreds of hours of the same, mind-numbingly boring run just to even unlock the hardest difficulty...
Either way, this is a very nice and elegant solution with choice. I opted for the x5 amulet for now, and it has made the game somewhat fun again with the XP finally moving in a relevant manner. Even with these ridiculous multipliers, it is actually still a grind. I just get 0.01 of a level every 10 monster kills instead of 50. It just won't take 200 runs now but only 40. Still have to work for it in an absolutely mind-numbing and boring way though. Being able to farm the Volcanic Caverns once at level 80 (to spawn at Grescal), will hopefully be enough to tide me over to 83. Once Elite is unlocked at 83, I'll go back to my normal amulet, as the monsters will hopefully start giving relevant experience again, at least for a while.
EDIT: Now, at level 78, with the x5 amulet, 1000 late game monster kills around Quilrabe, Hiroth and Grescal gave me 0.66 of a level. Utterly ridiculous. I'm seriously doubting anyone has ever reached Elite in vanilla conditions. I'm playing the game without LOA, not sure if the XP rates have been changed there or not, but in the original game, it is literally unbearable.
Idk why but the amulets doesn't work w/ my character. Maybe cause I'm playing w/ the original Dungeon Siege (aka without LOA)? Just to be sure. Not a big deal tho, just mere curiosity. Also, I'm playing with other mods along with this one so it may create some conflict of sort? I'm not sure tbh.
They're only in the first town's shop from what I can see, why is that? I don't want to run all the way back. They're at least not in Glacern. I just got there.
