I do not doubt it works for many people but i saddly must say for me it doesn't. My setup is 4070TI + R7 5800X. In Cities i got 30/40 FPS and 70/80 or max 90 FPS in world and with the register changes i got exactly same numbers... So sad
Your CPU(and GPU, damn. 4070 TI is good stuff) is far enough ahead of the curve that any remaining performance issues are almost assuredly the game itself and not anything that can be fixed user-side.
damn, here I was thinking maybe there was still something I could do, something to help boost performance... Looks like we're all going to have to wait for better patches lol
So I should see negligible improvement with my 4070 SUPER and i7-14700K from this then. Though, OP's numbers seem... odd to me. I get 1% lows of 48-50 and 70+ general FPS in Bakbattahl, and often go over 100 general FPS in the wilds, all without mods. Maybe there is some merit to what people are saying about CPU bottlenecks because out of the information provided CPU strength is the main difference between our systems.
A tweak like this is basically trying to guarantee you get the full potential out of your CPU performance as possible. In a game like this where CPU can often be limiting your framerate, it can be helpful.
However the main reason you *wouldn't* be getting the full performance, is really only if your machine is over loaded with background tasks and other applications. So if you have lots of other apps running in the foreground or background, they would be taking up CPU time which steals performance away from the game. However if you keep a reasonably optimized system with not a lot of apps or background tasks running, then this tweak largely won't make a difference as the game will already be getting full use out of your CPU.
This does not work. I even know how to edit the reg myself using the custom PerfOptions Key. Thats what i tried first, but it doesn't take for some reason. Then i figured maybe i didnt know something, so i used this, and its the same. It just adds the same custom key i couldn't get to work. Still Normal Priority...
I used CPU Lasso to accomplish the same thing but unfortunately seemed to make things worse for me.
4090 and 7950x3D. Freezing and crashing was more frequent when I ran this game at high priority vs normal. I honestly think its somewhat better with stuttering with normal priority. Mostly my performance only sags in Vernworth but it can sometimes bog down in other populated areas. Hopefully Capcom addresses this soon.
If this is working for you, great but let's keep on Capcom because I highly doubt anyone is getting satisfactory performance in Vernworth with or without this method.
Can't wait till Capcom gets off their asses and properly optimizes their game. The lazy excuses they served to us were very condescending and offensive. Last time I'll ever preorder a Capcom title.
so weird question everyone can anyone go into the config file and copy and paste me the last section with rendering as headline? i seem to have tingled with settings there and deleting and verifyring game files does not recover it to original state please anyone its really easy just go into config file and at the bottom there should be rendering settings. help alot <3

PerfOptions seem to no longer exist. It might be why this simply doesn't work anymore.
