This is the updated sl.interposer.dll file from PureDark, fixed to work with the April 24th patch of Dragons Dogma 2. All credit goes to PureDark and I'm simply making his updated interposer file more readily available on Nexus.
Compatible with 40xx series Nvidia cards (native Frame Gen) and those with 20-30xx series using the FrameGen mod (needed to prevent the game from crashing at starup).
Instructions:
1) Download mod 2) Unzip and copy sl.interposer.dll file to the DD2 root directory, overwriting the original (or backing the orig up first if you wish) 3) Run game
Note: Alternately you can try the following if you have any issues
i. Add this line to your config.ini file (and config_default.ini file), though it's not certain this has any affect on FrameGen working:
DLSS_FrameGeneration=ON
ii. clear the shader.cache2 file in the games root directory
I don't think this mod is necessary anymore since DD2 now supports DLSS3 w Frame Gen natively. You can also use DLSS swapper to use the DLSS4 improvements minus the 3x and 4x framegen.
hi there, prior updating i've deleted sl.interposer from puredark. after that i literally forgot to include it again. but vernworth performance is very very very good without a single problem so far
Same here, since the update the fps is very (s)low. I can't activate the new built-in framegen, it crashes the game. I deleted the interposer file and verified the installation files again which placed the game's own interposer file in the folder. But even with that, activating the game's own framegen causes a crash. So it seems a fix is needed, from Capcom of from PureDark. Until then I will have to play with low fps or use other settings.
same problem, the game is right now unplayable. I dont know what just one patch did to the game. Even if its sometime possible to enable FG it looks really weird and blurry
The PureDark mod still works with the last update, but you need to put back the 4 files "sl nvidia 2.2.1" from the previous update, I made a complete pack of files to put next to the exe.

I'd advise you to disable framegen in the ingame menu first. Even for me, who has an RTX 4080super, the implementation of capcom's dlss3 is shaky. I got 40% more performance with the PureDark mod...
You're welcome, it's not a new mod, you won't find it, it's still the old PureDark pd02 mod (sl.interposer.dll) but it doesn't work anymore because the nvidia 4 sl.dll plugins files have been updated with the last update (source steamDB), I just put the old sl.dll plugins back in my pack so that the PureDark mod works again.
this worked, but I didn't seem to get that significant boost. 4090 - i9 14900k set. Conversely I get a huge shadow disruption to an unplayable point. Had to uninstall it
Have the same problem. It seems like a bug to me. Everytime i start the game I have to manually switch from fullscreen to window mode until coming back to fullscreen. After a few attempts it’s almost gone but a few distractions are there. Is there a way to fix this?
Makes sense but the game is just not booting for me :( Although it seems to work for everybody else. But I want to use PureDark's one because I swear I was getting more performance and no UI jitter compared to the finally implemented by Capcom. Not to wonder because their DLSS looks like vaseline as well...
This mod does not work, tested to see but anyway the game indicates between 90 to 120 Fps without him and I use reshade 6.3. 3 with the latest Nvidia update key Alt+R for show GPU fps , CPU % and latence m/s

@Damansil234 What gpu are you using? And what files did you use/replace. What version of interposer dll are you using? I for sure can't use it, as it will just crash, I have rtx 4070. The other dll that are needed to be the same version as interposer, the games uses newer versions, when using older versions, it crashes, when they don't match up, it will crash. nvngx_dlss and dlssg don't matter, besides if you want artifacts or not if you use wrong versions. I don't use reshade, and I don't use rtx 2-3k series.

All I did after todays update (27/6/24) was update REFramework to the latest nightly edition (REF Nightly 972) and it worked. Didn't touch anything else.
This mod doesn't need reframework or fluffymod manager, also it doesn't work with newer reframeworks besides 958 or older. You just replace 5 dll files.
Puredark 2 framegen mod, 2.2.1.0 version doesn't work with the latest version of the game, also this mod doesn't come with necessary files. If you updated your game those files were replaced. If any of those 5 files has a different version, the game will crash. Assuming if the puredark 2 framegen mod worked in the first place.
But seems capcom wants to be an ass and blocked the usage of older version of framegen, or nvidia pressured them to force using dlss, dlss is utter garbage in the game compared to image quality max + dynamic resolution, in this game engine anyway, it's as bad as it's in MHW, while that uses dlss 1, but guess it would still look garbage with the latest dlss.
Yeah the mod doesn't work anymore, need to wait for puredark to make a 3rd version of interposer. So we can use the damn framegeneration without using dlss.
