V 1.1 is the latest version, I won't be updating anything soon since issues between users are so inconsistent that troubleshooting is almost impossible atm.
So unless unique entries become a thing, the issues will most likely never be resolved completely and I'd rather focus on other ports atm.
Sorry for the frustrations so far but trust me, I'm even more frustrated that you are. -_-
I am trying to install the helmet on it's own yet I am getting this really weird texture, could this be due to the Unofficial Dragon's Dogma 2 Texture Patch? Any help would be appreciated
Okay, so this is a fantastic update. But there is now a new problem that wasn't present before. Now the entire armor set glows in a steady pulse. It affects every armor piece individually and all together.
Here is an MP4 of it occuring. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LqG6sr2yXvNUDT83ozk4paFP6-T99RH_/view?usp=sharing
Ok, I'm 100% sure that this is not from my mod, there are no emmisives activated for it other than the eyes. So it's either a conflicting mod or something else entirely, never see this happen
Okay, so the thing is, it is coming from this update. I disabled every single one of my mods except for the berserker armor and the problem is still occurring.
The only other thing I can possibly think of that might have an effect is that I gave my whole armor set the wyrmfire upgrade; the one where you use Wyrmslife Crystals to give the final upgrade to equipment. This gives an animated wavelike effect on any equipment and weapon that has that final upgrade. I can see it on my armor, weapon and the armor of my main pawn. Maybe that's part of the issue.
Oooooh, yeah, that could actually be it. I haven't upgraded mine because I know it gives a cumstain look and it wouls mess with me setting up the textures lol
Will try to look for a fix tonight, hopefully it'll be a matter of enabling/disabling it in the material. If not, it's another bug in the list -_-
Okay, so I did a bit a testing, and it turns out I was right. I bought a brand new set of the berserker armor. This new set works perfectly fine, there is no flashing issue when it's not upgraded using Wyrmslife Crystals. When I switch over from my new set to my upgraded set, the flashing is there. So there you have it, the wavelike effect on dragonforged equipment is the issue. Hope this helps.
Greetings i tryed to install this mod, with all thats nessesary but my game wont load. Its locked in a endless loading screen and this only happens when i have this mod active. And my other mods work just fine so, am i doing some thing wrong here?
this is usually because of missing materials etc. which shouldn't be the case with this one since so far, you're the first to report this.. I honestyl wish I could tell you but I'm as lost as you are
hm maybe a conflict with other mods...i gonna check. The prime Sword you also use in the pictures workes just fine. Maybe the matirial qualety from this mods is to high for me pc? My pc is older but can run the game in high qualety, some times npc spawn right in from of me but only in the cities.
by materials I mean textures not being assigned etc. you graphic settings shouldn't affect it, so yeah, either a conflicting mod, or a whole new problem, you can never tell at this stage, everything is inconsistent af -_-
I am yeah, eyes were one if the things I wanted to get right and * finally managed yo get emmisive Working properly so yeah. Theu don't look as good as they do in ER cause emmisives in DD work in a pretty dumb way, but the look is there
unfortunately no, that would be indeed nice but man, everything is such a pain to work with in DD, I don't plan to touch physics untill we have a good workflow for themXD Like, I can make a port for ER in like two hours an it'll be perfect, here, you touch something and somethign else breaks, it's a nightmare
As for the eyes, yeah, they do look a bit off compared to ER but they look better overall so ye..It is what it is
Ah, that is a bit unfortunate, but I am incredibly grateful that you went through the effort to make the armor work in this game, sounds like a pretty bad modding experience lol.
I really like the shape of it. But the texture is a bit strange. It looks almost fibrous, like it's made of some kind of wood as opposed to metal. Just a personal opinion.
Like Mimosa said, this is how the armor is supposed to look, I actually based this off my Pop Up figure so ye. I did went nuts with it tho, could have made it more subtle but I do like the extra gnarly look tbh XD
The lines were never intended to be fibers and this armor's flow of the hatching effect does not follow very well, or at all, with the main design of miura's intent with it neither. There is an understanding and "flow" of shapes that goes with his hatching that means something and here, it's very kindergarden interpretation and understanding of it in the texture department. They took this idea from a random sculptor that made an attempt / personnal interpretation of it as a sculpt print. wich is not quite there too.
Real official figurines and toys absolutely don't have this effect on them. Because it's supposed to be dark metal.
Not to even begin to talk about the polycount of some shapes that are closer to a ps1 /ps2 game then current gen. But the flow of those hatching has to mean something while for most of the parts of the armor they are either flat lines / diagonals and don't follow the overall shapes and their intended direction / angles that evolves with angles of "junctons" of plates.
Showing a cheap $30 Figma action figure is not a good example. Seeing the armor smooth like that looks really weird. More than likely the lines are removed to reduce production costs.
It is commonly represented with the lines in most decent statues. This is more faithful to what the armor is supposed to look like. It's a living entity. The fibrous look helps lend to the idea that this armor is something that consumes its user.
Well, the Pop up Parade figure I own has them and that's what I based this on. Prime 1 statues do as well and it doesn't get more official than those so I don't know what to tell you my man, you don't like it, skip it, simple as that.
Your own custom of it is pretty damn good as well so I dunno, to each their own.
@Imaginalex The striations are supposed to be there. The reason(s) some figures include the striations while others don't comes down to
1. Different manufactures have agreements post-bid on what can and can't be done with their own work. This is so that each one can makes sells because the designs are different in some manner. Statues, busts, and figures are always the most accurate because of the materials (quality resin being S+), but even different statues will have alterations ranging from pose to proportions and style. Very few people will buy the same item twice.
2. Cost. More work is more expensive. If figma shelled out for the extra work on the sculptor's art, the casting, the molding, etc, etc - it would balloon the price. Would I still buy it? Yeah, probably, but far fewer people would drop the cash and either opt out or spend it on something "fancier". Also - the figma is pvc so the striations may come out looking like ass anyway.
All that said; Having a version like the figma would be pretty rad. I think a slightly oxidated/rusted armor like that action figure fits DD more than lore accurate berserk armor.

@madao112 What visuals are you using?
