This mod is not perfect as the modder said. However, have you ever experienced the unfortunate event of a dragon drowning in very shallow water during a battle with a dragon in the field for over 10 minutes? This is of tremendous value because it can prevent this.
This is great, this game has so many lore based cop-outs to avoid adding certain systems (swimming in this case). While I don't care to walk UNDER water, it's great for those times where you accidentally take a dip in water that is slightly too deep. I never understood why devs create systems that punish players for taking risks exploring. Now all we need is a proper quicksave and load system.
Do you even lore, bro? The various game mechanics are based on the lore, not the other way around. They literally remove the water in this game as part of the lore, and in order to unlock more map to explore in order to keep things a bit fresh (or, at least, they tried to. honestly, the unmoored world wasn't that great).
Those dang pesky monsters, and that darned pesky fall damages, and them-thar drownings while I'm loaded down in heavy weapons and armors, and them silly "objects weigh a mf'er down" mechanics that keep getting in the way of my explorations!
The entire lore of this game is that you, as the Arisen, need to rise up above the mediocrity of being a mere NPC (as you were before) by overcoming the new challenges that are literally spawned into the world because you began to awaken to some greater willpower that is going to be tested harshly. Rise above it, or die (or just fall back into the mediocrity of a mostly normal life as a cowardly Arisen).
Do you even mod, bro? There are already multiple mods out there to do that. Just like there are already many mods out there to deal with a huge variety of aspects of this game that you might not like, even though those are core aspects of this game. Rather than bitching and whining that "they didn't make a game the caters 100% to my personal preferences as though I'm the only person who matters in the whole world", just mod.
The possibility of dying while exploring isn't the issue. It's the possibility that an autosave will put you in a point of no return and you'll have to load an inn save to recover, which can lose an hour or more of gameplay. Monsters, fall damage and drowning are challenges and risks the player must over come. A limited save system is a punishment for a player taking risks.
If you think the lore/story in this game is anything more than cookie cutter high fantasy and simple, you are delusional. The game is really fun and I'm fine with a simple story. But I won't pretend the lore is anything special. The game is filled with plot holes, macguffins and meta mechanics to make it seem more deep. But it's not deep, it's just convoluted for "game reasons".
A save manager is not a "quicksave/load" system and the quicksave mod came out after I made this comment. I also commented on the quicksave mod, so clearly I know about it.
I like this mod, because it allows you to explore parts of the unmoored world while the world is still normal. Made this image, feel free to use it if you want. Direct link: https://files.catbox.moe/vdtgwa.jpg Funnily enough, your pawns will speak as if they're in the unmoored world. It's best explored as Warfarer, as you need to aim with your bow for the view to go below the water level. Additionally, I recommend 2 mods. Better levitate and EmptyDance. With those, you can easily travel very fast underwater. Without those 2 mods, you can alternatively use the warrior's Ravening Lunge (as Warfarer) to bypass the slow walking speed.
I had the same issue, where should I fix It? I installed It manually, but I suppose I have to put only the "autorun" file in the game installation folder...

The bottoms are in game. Warfarer can wear both at once.
I think I left it disabled by default, sorry.
thanks, fixed it
