You tweaked stuff because you could. But the result is just that you made the game look posterized with crushed black shadows. It's garish and ugly - and blatantly amateurish. You have no idea how visual design works.
You probably don't have all the shaders you need installed. When installing “ReShade”, I recommend checking all available shaders. This means you can easily switch between individual presets in the game.I therefore recommend that you reinstall Reshade, with all available shaders, as I have described.
It seems that version 6.1.0 can lead to problems with Dragon's Dogma 2. I recommend to uninstall Reshade 6.1.0 and delete all presets. Then restart the game. Reframework should be installed. As soon as you are in the menu, end the game and then install the Reshade version 6.0.1. You can find under the Main Files. Start the game and have all shaders compiled. As soon as you are in the game, press Alt+Tab and switch to your desktop. Now copy my preset into your game folder.Open the reshade menu and select the Preset Dragons Shade using the small arrows. So everything should work. Anyway, it worked for me.
i did as you said uninstalled everything and installed the 6.0.1 and checked all the effects but they don't show up for some reason :( i do have a different re framework version installed im not sure if thats the cause of the problem or not since reshade opens up just fine and doesn't crash the game
Newest updates may cause unexpected changes to something like ReShade, you may need to move all of your ReShade shaders inside of the "_storage_" folder inside of the game folder. This is just a side effect of how REFramework works around the crashes caused by proxy DLLs"
Hey! Wanted to say I really love your mod andI installed it as you said to on the description but the game still crashes now and then is that normal? First time using a shader mod ^.^
It seems that ReShade version 6.1.0 can lead to problems with Dragon's Dogma 2.
1. I recommend to uninstall Reshade 6.1.0 and delete all presets.
2..Reframework Ver.1.5.4 should be installed. You only need the DD2.zip. Important. Only extract dinput8.dll into your game folder. DO NOT extract the other files from the DD2.zip, or your game may crash.
3. Start the game As soon as you are in the menu, end the game.
4.Install the Reshade version 6.0.1. You can find under the Main Files.
5.Start the game and have all shaders compiled. As soon as you are in the game, press Alt+Tab and switch to your desktop, or end the game.
6.Now copy my preset into your game folder.
7. TAB into the game,or start the game.
8.Open the reshade menu and select the Preset Dragons Shade using the small arrows.
So everything should work. Anyway, it worked for me. If the game still crashes, i have no clue.

Hmm, i dont know. I installed v1.5.4 and it works fine for me. Only extract dinput8.dll into your game folder. DO NOT extract the other files, or your game may crash.
Yes, it seems that the issue lies with the REF version causing Reshade to malfunction. Reinstalling version 1.5.4 of Reshade resolved the issue, although some of the newer features are now inactive. Still, thank you for your assistance.
can't make up my mind here, on one hand daylight scenes in the open look dramatically better, on the other hand indoor or night scenes look doused in red light and look worse...
Yes. In Vers. 1.0 it was very redisch. In 1.1 it schould be better. But still more orange and saturated than the vanilla look. If you want, go to the "selective color" effect in ReShade and reduce the saturation or lightless for the red, orange and yellow colours, for your liking. Or deaktivate the HDR effect and adjust the gemma and shadows in Lightroom effect.
the update is so much better with less yellow. Thank you sooo much for this update, went through 5 reshades, this one included and couldnt pick. this update is PERFECT
I find your post very distasteful. Amrra obviously put a lot of effort into this ReShade. It's not just more saturation or vibrance. This is what you would have seen if you spent even 5 minutes with the ReShade in the game. You really should be ashamed of yourself.
it was definitely more a joke but fine if it upset people, also I did and I don't think its bad or effort wasn't put in I'm just not big on the kitchen sink approach to reshades like adding additional bloom, CA, and clarity on a game that already has issues with performance and looking grainy. His take is darker and grittier using more post process effects, mine is piggybacking off a mod that removes the games terrible color grading and simply builds corrections to color, contrast, and high-mid-low levels. Neither is entirely incorrect its all preference. Newer games I feel don't need as much besides simple changes to LUT tables and contrast, older games I love adding in a bunch of effects that they couldn't pull off properly when it was made. But again neither is wrong, I like this preset Amrra has made
Hey TurboSquirter. I think nobody is angry with you. At least I'm not. I think it was just a misunderstanding.. As you said correctly, we both have a different approach. You tried to achieve the best result without influencing the performance too much. This is absolutely understandable. I personally wanted the most appeal to myself and therefore accepted the FPS loss. I think that's a good thing for all. So everyone can decide what is more important to. We can all be friends. Where we are at the moment. You did a great job. :)
Hi. I'm playing without HDR because my system doesn't support HDR. So i realy dont know, how my preset looks with aktive HDR. If the picture is too bright, try to deactivate Fake.Hdr and Ambient light. Sorry, thats all i can say about HDR.
