For everyone who would like to use this mod with No Job Requirements, that mod author (LordGregory) has recently added REF options. Those options are compatible with Wild Loot!
considering you said few items' stats are swapped, can this mod cause my pawn to be soft-banned? new to modding in dd2, thanks for the mod, great work! <3
For everyone who wants an update of this mod. I made one for myself, and would like to share it. It works as expected on my computer. Besides, I made some small modifications to the original mod. I removed some duplicates and reordered the items in shops. If you can accept an update not from the author, feel free to have a try.
Awesome! Since I usually use the mod manager to install the mods, where do I unzip the downloaded file? Any other install instructions? Thanks again, much appreciated!
Pretty sure you can just place the zip file where you place all other mods. Then it should appear in the Fluffy Mod Manager when you run it. Activate and enjoy.
It's the same as the original mod. If you use Fluffy Mod Manager, just drag the zip file to the manager interface, it would automatically move it to the right place. And you just need enable it in the mod manager.
It may be affected by Lucky Scavenger. I check that mod, and it's implemented through ReFramework, which means these two mods have no conflict and should be working at the same time. If Lucky Scavenger change the items in chests. It maybe the reason. However, I cannot check the chest you mentioned in this mod. Because all chests in the mod are identified with a number ID, and I have no idea which one is the one you mentioned. If you are using save manager, you can create a save point and compare the items in the chest with Lucky Scavenger activated or deactivated to see whether or not it changed the items in the chest.
I trionize this: I can't thank you enough, along with these other guys, &, I really can't thank @ImmortanJoel for presenting this mod in the first place.
The mod folder is depends on where you put your game. I recommend you using Fluffy Mod Manager to manage your mods. It can automatically search for your game location and activate/deactivate your mods.
The easiest way to check whether or not the mod is working is comparing the items in the weapon/armor shops in the main city. The mod put a lot of items from shop to wild.
So I'm trying the updated version, and I need help on this scavenger hunt.
I'm looking for the Darkmetal Greaves and the Meloirean Plate armor; the former from a chest guarded by a gorechimera(replaced by a bow), the latter was formerly sold by Celeste before being moved. I'm at the endgame and I'm trying to find most of the loot before I move on. Anyone can help on this quest?
Did the author ever add the google doc with the item locations? I installed the mod while i had already explored vermont so i wanna know if i missed some important weapon or armor
Why are all of the best mods completely abandoned? Bro's just washed their hands of the community after a patch broken the compatibility. Combat and loot rebalances seem to be the main ghost towns.
A lot of the DD modding community can be a bit brutal to get help from, but I pushed through and made the mod.
Then I moved onto other things, and when a patch broke the mod, I was kind of met with the toxicity of the modding community for the game again, and since I had already moved on from DD2, I just dropped it.
Glad someone else picked it up and has fixed the mod, though!
I'm sorry for the toxicity you faced. When I tried to get into DD2 modding to see if I could restore Wild Loot for myself I was faced with a mountain to climb in accessibility and understanding of the tools and task at hand. You dont owe anyone anything and I, for one, would like to thank you for the invaluable work you provided.
Hey There. Been a fan of the Wild Loot mod and have been waiting a while for the update to get it working on the latest version of the game. Someone else managed to get your mod working though as a separate mod you can find here: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/1016
There's a bit of confusion though. Is the original Wild Loot not getting any modifications anymore? Or is it considered feature complete, other than just updating it to the latest version, which someone else has already done?
If you still want to use the mod. I have updated it by myself for current version. It works as expected on my computer. I kept almost all settings of original mod with only a few modifications in shop items (I removed several duplicates and reordered some items).

In short, this is totally safe for multiplayer.

Edit, the Tower in Melve doesn't give me any bows. Is it because I am using Lucky Scavenger ?
Will definitely endorse your mod after you have uploaded!

This is an absolute mess btw. But the information is there.
