By default, the parry window is only when the weapon is glowing and not during the earlier wind up animation?
This could explain it.
Parrying with the warrior is so hard, its almost useless.
There is a fighter mod that increases the parry window to 200ms, which makes it so much better - not too easy, not too hard. This should be the case with the warrior as well.
THIS. it also does not help that the framerate is all over the place so getting used to the window is awful. ontop of that there are plenty of attacks that can't be parried. id recommend making the window longer and the overall animation shorter. so that you are not locked into place for like 4 sec
there is a mod that increases the parry window for warriors Tidal Wrath and thieves Masterful Kill https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/462?tab=description
Hi, i thin kwarrior is good as is but the transitions better skills and basic attacks are cluncky as hell. Could you fix and make it so basic attacks have smooth transitions into skills ? Because Sweep (360 spinning attack whic hattacks twice when charge), You can't begin the charging action right after the basic attack swing is in mid air, but the action begins only after the attack finishes, and this feels bad outof place. Or is the idea i have in mind - hardcoded ? I would rather prefer this over modifying numbers in the game as it can break the balance.
Can you make a version that reduces the damage proportionally to keep DPS the same? This is kinda OP. Yes I know vanilla M.Archers and Thieves are already OP, but that stuff needs to be fixed. The game is already too easy.
Actually a good take. Keeping things balanced feels better. And archers and thieves may be strong in terms of damage, but they can't trade blows the way a warrior can.
Why would you want to trade blows as a Thief when you can just use Formless Feint basically permanently and use Blade of the Pyre to instakill most mobs in the game? Just use the Magick Archer Stamina on Kill Augment and you are basically immortal with a little bit of Stamina Management.
Anyways I also think the other Vocations should be buffed together with Monsters, nerfing Sorc, Thief and Magick Archer would be dumb.
I respect your take, but it's still a little meh. The player doesn't need to be made weaker whatsoever, if anything some of the augments are already terrible, like an augment for Rank 9 Sorcerer giving 30 flat magicka instead of a percentage, what. What we really need are those to be made better, as well as all enemies to be stronger across the board.
It wasn't a problem in DD:DA to be overpowered because the game was simply harder, admittedly on top of hard mode and BBI but still. The enemies in DD2 need to be less of a joke.
MA doesn't need to trade blows, it just presses 1 button and anything in combat is dead. Thief is actually better at trading blows than warrior is because feint makes them invulnerable and it isn't difficult to alleviate the stamina drain or simply press right click to dodge if you ever lose it so you never take damage anyways.

Would it be possible to change the idle animation of the greatword to make it grab the gs with two hands and not over the shoulder? Just like in DD1.
