2.0/2.1 is a pretty big change to the script, if you created a blocklist in v1.X previously I'd recommend backing up your reframework\data\dd2_ShutUpPawns.json file before updating.
Changelist:
Added block actions that can be set per-blocked-message, either always block, block during cooldown period, or block based on percentage chance
Added "default blocklist action" which will apply to blocklist messages by default, unless message has had its actions customized
Blocks can be setup to only block while inside town, or while outside in wilderness
Highfives can be setup so they're allowed after boss battles, or after a certain battle duration
Main-pawn highfives can be always allowed to help ensure affection gain.
If you notice any issues please let me know about them here!
Its not fully broken, only partially. The main feature does not seem to work, I'm not seeing any messages in the blocklist, the history stays always empty and the pawns keep spamming the chest quotes again.
brilliant idea, thanks for making this! would it also be possible to block stray pawns from trying to get hired, at least if your party is already full? I know there is the No Stray Pawns mod, but I do like seeing them out in the world, and helping them fight random enemies, but getting forced into the dialogue just because you walk too close to them (or sometimes they even chase you down) is pretty annoying.
E: one thing I'd really like to add here is some blocker/filter for the pawn guidance stuff, so you could eg. select stuff like "Allow quest guidance" "Allow chest guide" etc... AFAIK that's something to do with a "concierge" system but there's a ton of code in the game related to that, wasn't able to find the exact trigger for it. I know there's some file mods that can disable it, but a way to do it selectively with code hooks would be nice, if anyone does find something for that please let me know, happy to share DP for any contributions to SUP (unfortunately I've kinda gone off the game now because of the perf issues & other stuff, really hoping they can improve it after some more updates)
naturally, i randomly found it this morning through a completely unrelated reddit post of all things. clearly i was just not thinking of the right keywords to search for. i really appreciate the reply though. hopefully it helps somebody else looking for the same thing but having the same dumb issues finding it as i was >.<
Yeah being able to hit a button, raise your hand in a silence motion hand signal (think it already in game). The immersively shutup for that little convo they planned to have.
Another option is a mod that just reduces commentary repeat rate, such as telling you about ladders you've already used.
