AFTER going through 3 hours with this app, I finally realise the misconceptions. For idiots like me, this is how you should break it down:
1. Preset Cycling 2. Vocation Switching
1. Preset Cycling While this sounds like the correct option to use, this is not really the proper one. While it allows you to switch weapons, you can't switch skills with this. All this does is for swapping equipment based on options. However, I will explain after going to "2".
2. Vocation Switching Now this is the correct one. Where you enable vocation switcher settings, you automatically switch vocations based on keys (in my case, Q+E). To enable smooth switching on presets, do this: a. Everytime you change vocation using the Vocation Switch, save one preset in your "Preset Equipment/Skills - 1". Do not attempt to "Add Skill Preset" yet. (Treat the vocation switch the same as switching via NPC, there is no difference) b. Now, change to another vocation and you will notice the presets "resetting". That is the way it is. Equip your relevant gear, and then save over the now empty "Preset Equipment/Skills - 1". c. Simply change to your previous vocation. And your old preset will be back. Your presets are tagged to your vocations that you saved the presets to. d. Use the vocation switcher settings to enable/disable based on vocations you have already unlocked.
End Explanation Each vocation can store its own presets, and "Preset Cycling" is to allow you to move gear between multiple presets PER vocation.
I think the misunderstanding comes up where people assume you change vocation, save to presets and "Cycle" through them. Rather, look at it as a vocation cycler. Hope this helps to anyone struggling P.S. Thanks much to the author for creating this mod, really makes the dream of Dragon May Cry come true. Hope the users here have some patience working with this mod.
Hiya just wanted to suggest a feature to allow no weapons to be equipped for a preset. So far it does switch the skills but the previously equipped weapon stays on. Apologies if it is just me that cannot figure out how to make it work.
Yes you can! I actually just set this up myself. Disable vocation switching and just make skill presets. I used this to make 4 different weapon/skill combos all within the Warfarer class.
I've tried to do this but I all the skills except for Rearmament when missing from my skill list. They are only selectable from the specific vocations now. I wonder if this is uniquely my problem.
Im trying to be able to use dagger core skills (quick recovery, jumping off of walls) while using a sword. Can this do that?
If not, then can it make me able to use any weapon skill with a sword? (Biting wind, concussive step, etc)
I know i can just switch to a different weapon if i want access to the skills, but some skills (like quick recover, where you press A to recover from being ragdolled) this isnt feasible if using more than 2 weapons. Also, aesthetically speaking i want a sword on my belt, not a knife, but i suppose transmogify can fix that.
The mod is not working as a switcher. When I trying to save a skill preset it saves only one and no matter what skills a put, it still saves only one first preset. Vacations are not switching after one switch, just stuck.
UPD Reinstalling helped to make it work (didn't try the vocations yet but switcher works) UPD2 Everything works fine! Thank you for the mod!
Help I got this mod to work a while back but updates and time, and now I can't get it to work, the presets don't swap with the key setup, other parts of the mod are working where I can see all the skills from other classes Update: I disable some other scripts even though I didn't have any other mods but it fixed it
Can you make a Mod like this in Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen ?? I'd like to use Sorcerer Skills while using swords style just like in this Video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urq6iS0fCAY&ab_channel=cris
