I using this for a while now with mouse wheel, it's perfect, thanks! I also use with adjustable cam distance mod, that one I also use with mouse wheel, just added Ctrl+mouse wheel for that, so the 2 mods can work perfectly together, gives for my gameplay more immersion. :)
Don't worry, it's a false positive from windows defender. It always had these troubles and with the new "AI" methods it's becoming worse. Nexus virus scan says "Safe to use" (look up, green text). It's a text file inside, not an executable, 7z itself is a compressed stream of data, which is never executed, so it's as safe as it gets. And anyway re-uploaded as zip, which shouldn't trigger the stupid AI anymore.
Hello, I love the ability to change movement speed, thank you for this. Is there a way to edit something so that the default starting speed is still run and not jog?
Thank you for the mod, it's a good idea and a very intuitive implementation for kb+m. Would it be possible to get a version of this that's just the scroll weel for speed control, without the overall reduction to jog speed and sprint movement speed? a lot of the jumps in this game require the default move speed, and it's also fun to be fast sometimes, plus it makes the travel less tedious.
You just need to open r457MovementSpeed.lua in notepad and change this part. --user adjustable values section begin local wheel_sensitivity = 1 --set to negative if you want to reverse the wheel local default_speeds = { Walk = 7, -- vanilla = 6 Jog = 11, -- default starting speed, should be in between Walk and Run speeds Run = 15, -- vanilla = 17.7 Dash = 19, -- vanilla = 23.3 PlayerSheathedWeaponDash = 22, -- vanilla = 26.9 } local use_mmb_to_reset_speed = false --use middle mouse button click to reset speeds to default local use_ctrl_as_modifier = false --use CTRL key as a modifier, i.e. mouse wheel and middle mouse button will only work if CTRL is pressed --user adjustable values section end It literally states "user adjustable values" Vanilla values are also there, so if you need that, then your file should look like that --user adjustable values section begin local wheel_sensitivity = 1 --set to negative if you want to reverse the wheel local default_speeds = { Walk = 7, -- vanilla = 6 Jog = 11, -- default starting speed, should be in between Walk and Run speeds Run = 17.7, -- vanilla = 17.7 Dash = 23.3, -- vanilla = 23.3 PlayerSheathedWeaponDash = 26.9, -- vanilla = 26.9 } local use_mmb_to_reset_speed = false --use middle mouse button click to reset speeds to default local use_ctrl_as_modifier = false --use CTRL key as a modifier, i.e. mouse wheel and middle mouse button will only work if CTRL is pressed --user adjustable values section end
absolutely amazing mod to have. now i can walk from Vernworth to Arbor and enjoy very bit of the scenery without breaking immersion. cant imagine real adventurer switch between jogging and dashing every 2 mins.

quick question, is there any way to make a small mod to enhance the Oxcarts speed?, so that we can use it without use the sleep function...
Thanks!!
--user adjustable values section begin
It literally states "user adjustable values"local wheel_sensitivity = 1 --set to negative if you want to reverse the wheel
local default_speeds = {
Walk = 7, -- vanilla = 6
Jog = 11, -- default starting speed, should be in between Walk and Run speeds
Run = 15, -- vanilla = 17.7
Dash = 19, -- vanilla = 23.3
PlayerSheathedWeaponDash = 22, -- vanilla = 26.9
}
local use_mmb_to_reset_speed = false --use middle mouse button click to reset speeds to default
local use_ctrl_as_modifier = false --use CTRL key as a modifier, i.e. mouse wheel and middle mouse button will only work if CTRL is pressed
--user adjustable values section end
Vanilla values are also there, so if you need that, then your file should look like that
--user adjustable values section begin
local wheel_sensitivity = 1 --set to negative if you want to reverse the wheel
local default_speeds = {
Walk = 7, -- vanilla = 6
Jog = 11, -- default starting speed, should be in between Walk and Run speeds
Run = 17.7, -- vanilla = 17.7
Dash = 23.3, -- vanilla = 23.3
PlayerSheathedWeaponDash = 26.9, -- vanilla = 26.9
}
local use_mmb_to_reset_speed = false --use middle mouse button click to reset speeds to default
local use_ctrl_as_modifier = false --use CTRL key as a modifier, i.e. mouse wheel and middle mouse button will only work if CTRL is pressed
--user adjustable values section end
Finally I´m able to walk with keyboard :)
Endorsed.
