for those still encountering crashes, I updated the description with some steps that helped some users fix the issue, so please take a look
for all non-Nvidia GPU users, I updated the description for a potential workaround, and since I only have an NVIDIA GPU, I don't know if it'll work, so please let me know if it does or doesn't work
as for ReFramework, A fix has been found by RokubiKitsune. Check the compatibility section in the description.
Huge thanks to all of you for helping others encounter issues in the comments, you guys are the best
All work fine for me on last patch Just always use last REFramework-nightly from github and duplicate these dll files from the main directory of the game to the folder _storage_ in main game directory dinput8.dll from REFramework-nightly dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll(dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (Universal) dll_version directory) version.dll(dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (Universal) dll_version directory) sl.interposer.dll(DLSS3 Enabler PD02 (PureDark Updated)) nvngx_dlss.dll (3.7) nvngx_dlssg.dll(3.7) if use Reshade add dxgi.dll
Wanted to say this worked for me. Unsure if using the REFramework-nightly dinput8.dll or the nvngx_dlss.dll and the nvngx_dlssg.dll that i downloaded from techpowerup seemed to work.
To fix ui flickering start the game with dlss in the setting turned on, this will activate dlss3 and then turn dlss off. This seems to fix ui flickering, while keeping framegen on. Update: Ignore this comment, after few test it was found that it's not keeping framegen on, but just add few fps by messing with few settings, so keep dlss on. There's no way to fix flickering for now. Sorry for misinformation!
If you're on a RTX 30 or 20 series card and you're having trouble getting frame gen mod to work since the update, use the new PD02 enabler and, in addition, also add the line DLSS_FrameGeneration=ON to both config.ini file and config_default.ini file (at the end of the AppOption header). Finally, make sure to delete shader.cache2 file in the games root directory before starting the game. If you still happen to crash at start, remember to close MSI Afterburner or Nvidia Overlay, if you're using any of those apps.
This way I was able to get the frame gen mod working with the new update (I have a 3090).
Did a lil digging to see what was causing crashes even though i used the new interposer from PureDark, i found out that Nukem's dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (Universal) mod is not compatible with the new patch of the game. Any solution for this ??
I don't know how to link other posts :( . But you just download the mod (DLSS3 Enabler PD02), extract the file into you Dragons Dogma folder and replace the existing file.
i included in my comment above that i already had tried the new enabler out, it didn't work, i went file by file and Nukem's dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (Universal) mod was conflicting with the new patch from the game, idk why everyone keep saying try the new enabler out when it's not the actual problem here
quick update: I did manage to get it to work a few times by opening the game in windows mode, and minimizing it during the logos, I did use the new enabler too.
Imagine being both cringe and toxic at the same time in a comment section for a modding site. Like I said asking for a friend, who is not into modding and has a amd gpu. It seems you can't relate cause you have no friends.
This doesn't work anymore. I followed all the instructions using a 3080 card and still crashed on start-up no matter what.
EDIT: Got it to work after downloading the new slinterposer.dll from PureDarks patreon after looking a bit through the forum. Titled Dragon's Dogma 2 DLSS3 Enabler 02
It worked for my 3070 for a long time but since the last patch it crashes every time. I tried everything including the new slinterposer.dll from PureDarks. Unfortunately it doesn't help. Does anyone have any tips for me? or will there be another update for the mod? I want to play so bad but with 40-50fps it's just not fun.
why even if i removed mod's files from the folder and re-installed the game entirely it still crashes after giving an error message saying "dlssg -to-fsr3 failed to load implementation DLL"? I need to fix this cause i can't play the game :/
hmmm, after the re install some files remain, so after the re install check if there are any remaining files from the mod, version dll, or dlssg to fsr, or the interposer, or the dlss, remove them then do verify integerity of installed files in steam.
it worked, thank you! moreover after reinstalling the mod with the new enabler and starting using reframework the game is pretty smooth again. (it kept crashing even with the new enabler, that's why I uninstalled the mod)
glad I helped you are very welcome. i also tried the new enabler, the frame gen worked and was smooth but i had insane flicker, both UI and characters, makes the quality very very bad in motion, i uninstalled it as well.
Started working with this file but I have another pretty annoying ongoing problem. Every time I open storage inventory or trade inventory at vendors or arisen's inventory, the whole game starts lagging and dropping fps like crazy. It goes on for a while after I close the inventory menu. In the end fps goes back to 60, but it's still very annoyng to wait for a minute after you use inventory in order to play the game normally. And if you stay in the inventory for too long the game can even crash. It's like opening the inventory gradully streess out the pc to the point where it just no longer can run the game and it crashes. Or maybe it has something to do with the RE enigne. Anyway it's ruining the expirience and I don't know how to fix it. The only thing the removes the problem is lowering the resolution to 1080p (i am playing at 4k with dlss), but I play on 4k tv so 1080p looks not that crisp
Anyone have any issues since new patch drop? It crashes immediately after trying to open the game for me. Don't know if it's the patch that causes it or something else, just wondering if anyone else has new issues? I could not get this to work again

Still crashing after shadercache
I have 300h in the game, but I really can't play without dlss3 anymore.
Please hit me up, if you find a solution p.p

But there a fix for the UI ?
