I'm unable to add rings to him unfortunately, but I should be able to change his armor and weapon. I actually should tend to this mod more, I've been forgetting to do a few things for it and this is one of them. I'll try to find some time to add more things to this page when I can.
1/13/2025 EDIT: I remembered why I hadn't done this already, I keep trying but for whatever reason, the file that edits him doesn't work fully, it won't let me change his equipment or appearance. Which sucks, I really wanted to upload buff Super Rook as well as options for Rook with better equipment, but as of the other night I still can't quite figure it out, it must be part of another file that I'm missing, or possibly hard coded.
is there a way to let Rook level up just like the Player and the Main Pawn?? because having rook always at the same level (for me) is a pain in the a**
Not that I know of unless you use dinput8 to level him yourself manually. Otherwise hired pawns are just coded to not get xp or level up, and I don't know if its possible to change that
Yeah, that is the consequence of him being high level. You can get him for free if you do a hard mode reset or something similar. But since you already had him, he needed to be updated in the Rift, so that's why you're running into that issue.
The description on the file page gives instructions, are you on Steam? You should be able to go to your Steam Library, right click Dragon's Dogma, mouse over to Manage, and click on Browse Local Files. This will put you in your main DDDA folder, and the file path for the modded file is DDDA\nativePC\rom\etc
Amazing, rook will finally be useful. Thank you i check this games mod page every now and then to see if your remaster is completed. I'm looking forward to it!
Glad you like the mod! I'm really looking forward to the remaster as well. It's going slowly because I've decided to make the textures by hand rather than AI upscale. When I first started the project, I hadn't known/realized that AI upscaling isn't exactly top quality. So I'm taking classes and learning to make things by hand, but I'm proving to be a very slow learner when it comes to the kind of photorealistic style that DDDA has.
And for some reason, it's proving nearly impossible for me to find more experienced artists willing to help me draw anything or at least bake some good normal maps from a high poly model, so it's going even slower than I had hoped. But, I'll keep doing my best to make sure it gets done! With any luck I'll have at least something to show before DD2 comes out.
