For those that don't know how to use the arc unpacker (like me) here what I did to get it to work the same way and (probably easier imo). BACK UP YOUR MAIN ARC FILE IF NEED TO
1. Manually install this into your rom. so go to wherever your steamapps is at. should probably look something like this steamapps -> common -> DDDA -> nativePC -> rom (now download the mod here)
2. Extract the file/mod
3. Now you should have a folder named: Unlimited Sprint No Carry Limit Higher Jump-69-1-0 ............. OPEN The folder
4. There should be a game_main.arc file in there. DRAG IT OUT TO rom
5. It will ask you if you want to replace the file. Select yes of course. AND DONE it should work
I hope i helped some people. I don't know how to use the arc thing and i just thought this might be easier for some folks who is in my position also.
I really want this but I dont wanna lose the nude body im using.. AND no its not for perviness. it removes that granny bandage around your stomach. So annoying..
This file replaces the game_main.arc file. Not the body texture files. You're fine. And if you're that worried about it, just rename your current game_main.arc file to game_mainoriginal.arc and then put the game_main.arc from this download in it's place. If you don't like it, go back to your original file.
i figured it out, use this mod, it's arc extractor/unpacker -> http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/25/? extract that mod anywhere and open DDDATool.exe (run as administrator)
and then, extract this mods to somewhere else, go to DDDATool.exe that your already open and click 3 dots on top upper left of the program, and locate it to game_main.arc from this mod that you extracted earlier, and then click extract arc
and then click 3 dots again and locate your game_main.arc from your dragon dogma\nativePC\rom folder, and then click extract arc
copy these files and overwrite from this unpacked mod to your unpacked game_main folder on dragon dogma\nativePC\rom folder:
game_main\param\pl\other\PlJumpParam.12688D38 game_main\param\pl\stamina\COPY ALL FILES FROM THIS FOLDER game_main\param\pl\weight\COPY ALL FILES FROM THIS FOLDER
and then repack your game_arc folder from your dragon dogma\nativePC\rom folder
So what did you do differently then??? Because each and every time I unpack both game_main.arc files from both my DD:DA\nativePC\rom folder and the one from this mod, and then use WinMerge to locate the files that are different in the mod version of the unpacked game_main folder and copy them over to be merged, I then repack the game_main folder that has all the newly copied files/folders into it and put it in my C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DDDA\nativePC\rom folder and EVERY SINGLE TIME I load into the game NOTHING has changed. I'm still jumping at base game height. The rest of the mod works fine however. I have no encumbrance at all regardless of how vast my inventory is, and my stamina is still at 100% when I sprint both in town and out in the wild. I simply don't understand why the jumping portion is failing.
This isn't the only jump mod that has disappointed me like this either. I can't seem to find a single one that works. I followed the instructions on how to add modded files to the main_game.arc file TO THE LETTER. I'm not a computer noob so this isn't a PEBCAK problem or a "skill issue" as others would condescendingly put it. I don't know WTF I'm doing wrong here because up until this point, I had no issues merging other mods and getting them to work at all. One of the mods in particular I installed removes the annoyingly cringe female vocals from the intro music when you start up the game and guess what?? That one is working just fine
Is there a tool to edit the *.PLW files for weight(game_main\param\pl\weight)? How should one go about editing the files in this section (main_game/para)?
