The Augment Reference List is meant as a tool to aid in editing your own augment xml file.
While this file is an edited copy of the original, it will not work if installed in place of the original.
So please, save yourself headache and only edit your file instead of the reference list.

The original file is inside the game_main.arc.
You will need the Arc Tool by Fluffy Quack as well as an updated version of its bat file that includes the extension -xfs.
Notepad can be used for this, so no need to worry.

Once the game_main.arc is unpacked you will find the corresponding xml file at:
game_main\param\pl\other\PlAbilityParam.ablparam.xml
