About this mod

Replaces BBI Immortal's armor pieces with pieces from Hero's Set and a matching Grand Surcoat.

Permissions and credits
This mod replaces the chest, legs and arms pieces of Immortal's Armor set.

  • The chest piece is replaced by the crimson Royal Grand Surcoat model.
  • The arm armor is replaced by the Hero's Gauntlets model.
  • The leg armor is replaced by a customized Hero's Cuisses model.

Each piece is available as a separate download. Use all of them or just the ones you like!

To complete the look, I recommend adding:

If you don't want to wear a full helmet, Wyrmfire Visard mask is also makes a good match for this set.

To install the Surcoat:

  • Download the corresponding file
  • Back up DDDA\nativePC\rom\eq\a_body\m\m_a_body6100.arc
  • Place m_a_body6100.arc from the downloaded file into DDDA\nativePC\rom\eq\a_body\m\ folder

To install the arm armor:

  • Download the corresponding file
  • Back up DDDA\nativePC\rom\eq\a_arm\m\m_a_arm6100.arc
  • Place m_a_arm6100.arc from  the downloaded file into DDDA\nativePC\rom\eq\a_arm\m\ folder

To install the leg armor:

  • Download the corresponding file
  • Back up DDDA\nativePC\rom\eq\a_leg\m\m_a_leg6100.arc
  • Place m_a_leg6100.arc from the downloaded file into DDDA\nativePC\rom\eq\a_leg\m\ folder

To uninstall any of the pieces you installed, delete the corresponding ARC file and replace it with the backup you took.

Q: Why does the leg armor have steel-toed leather boots instead of the plated cuisses?
A: Because the cuisses and articulated sabatons (especially with the hooked toe piece like what we have in the game) were normally worn when fighting on horseback (as your legs and feet would be at the perfect height for the infantry to stab and chop at). When fighting on foot was expected, knights and men-at-arms often wore regular boots in place of lower-leg armor, as they were notably easier to walk and run in. Also, striking lower legs and feet was not common in this scenario (as it would put the attacker in a vulnerable position). Since there is no cavalry in Gransys and our Arisen spends a great deal of time running and climbing, the boots make more sense.

Q: How is it that your Arisen has a mace and a magick bow equipped? What sorcery is this?
A: All thanks to the brilliant dllinput8.dll hooks mod by Jaryn123. If you haven't tried it yet, you should. It's amazing.
