Ok, so does anyone know where the model files themselves are located? I want to try and edit a model, even my limited blender exp and can't find them for the life of me. They aren't in the model file as far as I can tell from using the arctool
No one has and unfortunately it doesn't seem likely that it will ever happen. MT Frameworks games that aren't RE just don't get any modding love from the people who could actually figure this kind of thing out like they have for all of the more recent RE games.
I am just now starting to learn programming, modelling and that sort of stuff, and would love to learn how to make mods, especially for ddda, since I'm playing it a lot right now. Is there a specific reason people are not modding this game? Is the engine super fickle to work with or are there just not enough people active on the game to make it worthwhile?
The game is a little hard to learn to mod, and it's not super popular. There's lots of retextures and model swaps and gameplay changes, but no model or animation stuff because we didn't receive any modding tools, and nobody has figured out how to put models back into the game. I've taken one out and modified it, but couldn't export it as the same type of file. If someone can figure that out, we'd be set.
I really hope this helps push the DDDA modding scene into the spotlight. We need some cool mods for this game, it has such potential. I'm just afraid that most modders have already overlooked it though and won't look back.
