First of all thank you so much, I am a first time player of this great game (a bit late, I know), but do you happen to have any link to some tutorials on how to get this to work, in the first place, and then how to edit the values to affect only the arisen and the main pawn? Maker bless you. Oh, and will these changes be permanent to the save file, or will cheat engine need to be open in the background while playing DDDA, for this to work? Sorry for my noobness, Thanks in advance. PS Some who might read this might think that I can use dinput8 to achieve this, I'm afraid I can't seem to play longer than half and hour with that, cause I get CTDs. Still investigating why. That's all. Thanks again.
Update! Figured out that if I set "hotkeys" and "in-game ui" to "off" in the .ini of dinput8, and only turn them on when I have to, then no crashes. Most of the options I need from dinput8 are editable through the .ini anyway. Also, I figured out how to use this and CE and I absolutely love this mod. And, might be a bit of a reach, but, Author if you feel it in your heart to share how to do this for other games.... hehehehe Love your work, Squerol26. Hail, Arisen.
Perhaps more of a question on Cheat Engine than the mod itself, but is it possible to put Game Speed on a decimal value such as 1.2? I think 2 is too fast and 1 is just default, so I want to make the whole world overall faster, including enemies, while placing the player, pawns and allies at 1.1 or 1.0 defaulty speed.
How would I go about putting your cheat table into "dinput8.ini"? Just copy and paste it into the ini? Sorry not familiar with coding I usually just look up directions on how to do this or that when it comes to files like these. Could you possible explain how to add your speed hack into the dinput8? I just want to increase my own attack speed a bit and not the monsters.
"Could you possible explain how to add your speed hack into the dinput8?" ....uh, I didn't said anything like that.
I said: "To modify only attack speed of character, I think "dinput8.dll hooks" mod could help - there is working movement speed value option, modifing it to correct values could help setting unchanged movement speed of character while modifying attack speed."
What I meant there is about changing movement and attack speed separately there.
Dinput8.dll hook tool has player movement speed modifier. My cheat table has overall player speed modifier (every action, so movement, attack, etc. combined).
To change attack and speed separately, for example to make arisen attacks 2x faster but moves at same speed like vanilla while keeping enemies at same speed: - edit my downloaded .ct file with any text editor, edit those lines: * speedhack_setSpeed(2.0) to speedhack_setSpeed(1.0) so game won't be speedhacked=enemies will be at normal speed * mr1.Value = 0.6 to mr1.Value = 2 so player speed will be multiplied x2 ...save and close text editor, Your file is ready, launch and load Your game and launch just edited .ct file, - set player movement speed in dinput8 hook tool to 2x slower value than default - done
I hope You understand what I meant and how it all works now. Pick Your own desired values, my explaination was just simple example.
Hey, you say in the description that this mod is for solo playthroughs only. Does it simply not work with pawns and if so, is there any workaround for that. I'm interested in the mod but I don't like the idea of playing solo.

but isn't there a way to just edit that 2 variables in the game files ?
I am from the different side , as I want EVERYTHING slower , so both values down to 0.8 ...
Do you know , where this file is ?
and using a hex editor ... it didn't found any "Speed" pattern :-(

So on default mod settings, they will be about 2x faster than player character.
