Unfortunately, I've been out of it for a long time, and quite honestly remember next to nothing about this mod, and since I don't even have the game anymore, can't really provide much support.
About the eyes, the images are example of how large it "can" be, you can still use the size slider in game to adjust it.
Great mod! I d like to see(or make myself ,if I knew how)a mod that would manga-fy all npc's. And its not like its that far away from the original concept of the game, it complements it well.
Beautiful mod! Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea due to the doll-like "Anime-esque" aesthetics of the eyes, but I for one really enjoy it, thank you for making this!
Installation is very simple: All you need to do is first download ArcTools (which you should have if you plan to mod this game at all anyway) and use that to extract game_main.arc, then just drag and drop the files included in the "Loose Files" download into the extracted folder, then use ArcTools to compress it once again and you're done.
I did notice one interesting thing, however. The files included in the "Loose Files" download have an odd extension to them being a bunch of letters and numbers. Adding those onto the arc works... somewhat, but for some reason it only seemed to work during the very first time you create your character and your pawn, any subsequent edits done to their appearance results in this mod no longer loading the parts for... some reason.
To fix this, I went ahead and changed the extension of every file included in the "Loose Files" download from their weird number string extension to ".fpe", which is what every other file in the arc had as their extension. In doing this, I was able to get the modded parts to load regardless of whether it was my first time creating a character or if I was using a tome to edit their appearance.
I have absolutely no idea what the title.arc file does for this mod as it seems like the actual models are all included in the "Loose Files" download (My guess is that it adds in the thumbnails matching the modded pieces); this does, however, mean that if anyone doesn't want the faces/eyes/mouths added by this mod, all you have to do is omit the folder of the part you do NOT want to add to the game and change the extension for the files for the parts you DO want to add. As long as those files are .fpe and replace the files already in the game, they should show up just fine.
This does also beg the question of why the files were provided in this weird number format when they work just fine when renamed to .fpe format... Unless I've done something terrible and I'm blissfully unaware of it, but so far the game works perfectly fine.
Can you tell me exactly which files did you modified? I'm trying to mod this to omit the eye changes. I've extracted female edit, title and main game arcs, deleted any eye related folders and then merge with the originals, but the title.arc is not letting me, when I merge it with the original the game won't load and give me an error not being able to load some male model file. OR you can just update an eyeless version... OR you can just ignore me, seeing that you have "moved on".
While I haven't tried this mod yet, I believe I can tell what the mod does just from the images alone. While I don't think bashing a mod creator, or their mod specifically, just because of my subjective views of their passion projects is a good thing to do, I do believe all art is worthy of constructive criticism, so here is mine.
The only real issue I have with this is the eyes: they are larger, glossier and all around more "doll-like". if that was your intention, more power to you. But I just felt like expressing my opinions about it. Good work though, almost all mods are appreciated, by me at least.
