Wish there was a version without the nerfed vocation growth.
Playing the hardcore version of the mod, not becoming overpowered several hours into the playthrough due to the vanilla game's crazy EXP gain is awesome, but vocation grinding is absolutely unbearable, especially considering how disincentivized fighting bigger enemies is for DCP gain. Mindlessly slaughtering hobgoblins for hours gets old to say the least.
Honestly, slowing it down doesn't even make sense because it's the stat bloat due to unbalanced leveling that was the problem with the game. not being able to actually earn your vocation's entire kit in a reasonable amount of time.
Uploaded a merge with 2.5x slower character leveling and no dcp/vocation slow down. But it merges in the balanced version of an alternate stat growth for MA & MK mod. May not be what you want, but thought I'd mention it: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/1036
Thanks Capcom for dropping a random update out of nowhere that just completely took out all mods. I've tried using the loose files and couldn't get it to work. I advise using one of the other main ones and just extracting, replacing, and repacking as per usual with the other Arc Extractor and Repacker tool mod. Assuming you're using multiple mods that edit the game arc like me
can you help me out? for the life of me i can't get it working with my custom main_game.arc
All my other mods are working fine, it's just this one I can't get to merge no matter what i can do.
I'm using https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/193 as a baseline for my edits so maybe it's Hybrid level up stats from there that's screwing it up for me but I've tried everything to get this to merge
Started over my first playthrough and installed this mod because I started outpacing the content. I really love how it makes standard encounters exciting again. I also have to spend less time replacing pawns.
Don't know if you are still reading this, but thank you so much. It directly fixes my issues with vanilla hard mode. "hard mode-enthusiasts" yep that's me haha It's unbelievable how much this mod fixes the issue of getting overpowered super fast, currently escorting Mercedes to the shadow fort at LEVEL 12! The elder ogres in the quarry actually force me to think about using stuff like throwing skulls, debilitation arrows, oil flask for big ingle bomb or throwing FESTIVAL PIE to cause blindness lol!. On top of that, because the enemies take less damage and two shot you and you have to be much more careful in your overall gameplay, a trip to the ancient quarry feels like a proper adventure lol! I can't recommend this mod enough for a true challenging hard mode experience
Huge Endorse, never realised just how much difference slower leveling makes, it really affects the difficulty curve in a good way.
I use 6x slower XP on normal mode (with dinput08 mod to nerf my HP and stamina, that way i avoid the OP money drops from hardmode) and it makes the game feel alot more challenging and fair for a much longer time, although in the latter levels it might seem very slow, by the time you get to lvl 100 you're pretty much capable of killing anything in the game anyway including 2nd form Daimon solo if you know what you're doing, so it's really not that big of an issue to have slower leveling even in very late game.
The only thing that still feels a bit OP is the Discipline Point buidup, which on 4x slower DCP still feels like i'm able to pool together alot of DCP, but i suppose that's also a consequence of the fact that i spend much more time exploring and killing mobs in non-main-quest content so it's ok.
Huge improvement for me at 6x slower :3 Great mod idea, thanks!

Oh well, DD2 is on the horizon I guess.
