Ah yes.. Yet another person that thinks a 7 minute video is the best alternative to a 10 line installation readme. Good job. Here. let me help not waste everyones time. ------------------------------------------------------------- - Youll first want to disable Depth of Field. It wont work if its on. --To do this, go to [ /AppData/Local/CAPCOM/DRAGONS DOGMA DARK ARISEN ] and open the config.ini file. (If youre having trouble getting to appdata, just type %appdata% into the folder address bar) --In the ini file youll need to find Stereo=OFF and change it to Stereo=ON --If its already Stereo=ON then youre good to go. Save and close.
-Next youll need to find your game directory. For steam its in Steam/Steamapps/common/DDDA --Unzip the contents of the Aspect Ratio Fix download into this folder and youre done.

This readme is also based on the video. Any inaccuracies should be directed at them, not I.
Just got this game and applied the updated fix for this mod. The map menu is still very f up sadly. For me as a new player its really hard to understand anything. Lucky i got to refund the game succesfuly.
Guys theres literally a pinned video how to make this work with ENB... just a matter of Renaming and editing .ini which literally took me 1min
for RESHADE - copy and paste this on the d3d9.ini included on this mod [Import.ReShade64] Architecture=Win32 Filename=ReShade64.dll Role=ThirdParty When=Early (then rename the included d3d9.dll on your reshade to ReShade64.dll)
for ENB - copy and paste this on the d3d9.ini included on this mod [Import.enbseries] Architecture=Win32 Filename=enbseries.dll Role=d3d9 When=Proxy (then rename the included d3d9.dll on enbseries to enbseries.dll)
I had problems getting this to work for me (misspelling Architecture didn't help...lol). The ENB would not work at all, until I put the [Import.enbseries] additions at the bottom of the list in the d3d9.ini. Hope that info helps someone.
Hello, I'd followed every step in the video and now when I launch it theirs a fatal error that says failed to initialize directx 9. So, I am thinking that it because I have directx 12. That it can't run this old game. I think it can run only 9 to 11 directx. My monitor is an ultrawide 2560x1080, 21.9. When I'm on the game the aspect ratio is little bit off. So any clue how to solve this problem or can't be solved?
Nice video, was a good idea to pull this here, thanx ! For those who wonder, this widescreen fix for dragon dogma works nicely ( 3440X1440 here), might just have to [ctrl+alt+shift+A] (bound this to my pad for convenience) to turn on and off aspect ratio correction when using map which is atm as of version 0.0.10 not yet correctly corrected .. Eternal thanx to Kaldaien for giving us this !
I've set mine up the way the video shows but game wont launch afterwards, tried 3840x1080 (32:9 native), and 2560x1080 and game still doesn't launch. any help would be nice I get error
DDDA.exe - Application Error ??The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). ??Click OK to close the application.
the game is installed on a second drive with steam on the main drive. Can still play game in normal 1920x1080 with out the files installed, and game launches if I take the d3d9.dll file out of folder but the ui is still cut off.
How do you get this to work with ENBs? I can't seem to use Kaldaien's version of the d3d9.dll or d3d9.ini to work with any ENB's. Are there any that are compatible or any manual edits I can make in the ini file to make it compatible?

I would like to add that different people learn in different ways, and one may be able to follow steps better with a video than a written doc.
