How would I go about making this mod compatible with project rebuild? Is there a source code for the mod I need to have before I'm able to do so? I'm very much interested in trying to make this for rebuild.

If anyone wants to try and edit the model, theres a guide here: https://sites.google.com/view/dqxi-commands/modding/creating-model-mods

How did you get the sword to appear on his back with the outfit on?

Download the costume swap mod and follow instructions, equip the default skin in-game. Then change the setting in cheat engine to gallopitan garb for the hero. Boom. PS if you do this while in a location in-game you'll need to swap back and forth between a costume and default skin in-game for the changes to apply, you'll see changes in the inventory screen but the model needs to reload for the changes to apply in real time.

Some of the details in the physical/normal maps are really good here! Both the body and cape have a distinct "woven fabric" look (for lack of a better descriptor), and it even looks like some extra 'sheen' (specular effects) have been added to the chainmail and armlets.  10/10
