When using the latest version of this (w/ and w/o the weapons patch) + the Definitive Heroine Mod + Project Rebuild Character Models the hair on the Heroine becomes dark brown instead of the shade of the rest of the hair. Without this mod the hair is a consistent color. I narrowed it down to just the Heroine and this Remove Outlines mod by testing with only them installed. I don't necessarily expect a fix from this mod for the issue as I understand it's two different authors and would more likely needed to be fixed by Heroine author, but bringing it up here in case it is something easy to fix in this one, and The Definitive Heroine Mod doesn't seem to have comments or bug reports enabled so I don't have a way to report it there. Other than that, absolutely love this mod and thank you for creating and updating it!
Following discussion in the DQXIS Modding Discord (linked in the mod description), it appears that this issue is the same as the known incompatibility with the PR Equipment mod, and as such needs to be fixed by the Definitive Heroine mod. As with PR Equipment, it may be possible to somewhat mask the issues in this mod, but that has not ben fully investigated
I had to rename this to pakchunk0-Switch_2_p.pak to get it to work on Switch (admittedly I didn't poke at it too much so that exact filename might not be necessary).
hey! thanks for this aweome mod. just wondering if any of yall were ever able to find the reason behind the conflict between this mod and the weapon restoring mod. if not no biggie, but if you guys ever find the time, id hugely appreciate a fix for that. i know the compatibility patch exists, but it would be nice if i didnt have to use it, since it puts the outline back on the weapons :/ its a small, nitpicky issue i know, so again, its no big deal, but a fix would be awesome. thanks.
The incompatibility between this mod and the PR Equipment mod is one that needs to be fixed with PR Equipment. The source of the problem is believed to be known, but has yet to be resolved. It may be possible to provide a workaround in this mod, but that has not been fully explored, and would not necessarily resolve the entire problem
I'm using the Steam Deck to download mods. Whenever I try to extract the pak from the zip folder, I get the message, Compression Method Not Supported. When looking at the pak, it says the method is Deflate64 instead of Deflate like all the other mods. Is there anything I can do on my end to fix it to be able to extract the pak and use the mod?
I think the mod looks lovely and I'm excited to try it out once I can figure out how to successfully extract it from the zip folder.
Hi, I know tis mod is pretty old, but as I have recently modded DQ XI and am doing a fresh playthrough, I have grown to love this mod. There is only one issue, which is that it conflicts with the better weapon and equipment mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonquestxisdefinitiveedition/mods/146). In which when this mod removes the outline one the weapons, the textures of the weapons become much darker than they should be. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to keep this mod installed but just to turn off the removal of the outline only on the weapons? I believe this would solve the conflict while allowing me to keep the nasty outlines off of the characters lol.
The effect this has is amazing. You won't belive it, until you try. As others have said, it changes the feel, to be much more lively and fitting imo. I think the next DQ should remove outlines too, if they continue with this style.. Truly a gem that was found by accident. ;)
This issue was resolved via Discord. The user had mistaken another mod's files for this mod, and had therefore not properly installed this. Following correct installation, the mod worked as intended
Godsend. On my pc i found to outlines to be thick and transparent for some reason. It always looked to me like there was a blur around the characters instead of a black outline. Now together with some INI changes to improve the grass anti aliasing it finally feel like i'm playing an AAA PC game.

Truly a small change, but a great impact.
