For some reason, I couldn't get this mod to work where the focus didn't change. I'm also using other pak mods so it was not because I didn't know how to copy the pak file to the correct folder.
However, I'm running Epic version of the game, not Steam version. Could that be the cause of the issue? Or could it be that my other mods conflict with this one?
Again, thanks very much for creating this mod. If you're busy and don't have time to check, it's totally fine.
Replying to my own post. After reading some tutorials on modding and investigation, I figured out what's happening.
This mod works perfectly. The reason it wasn't working for me was because of conflicts with Higher Levels Progression mod which also modify the same DT_KaziLvTable.
I started by looking at this tutorial: https://sites.google.com/view/dqxi-commands/modding/creating-mods?authuser=0
I also downloaded this mod tools: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonquestxisdefinitiveedition/mods/108
After that I extract the paks for both this mod and the Higher Levels Progression mod. I discovered that they both modified the same datatable.
So, what I did was to apply the values modified by this mod to the Higher Levels Progression datatable and repackage it as pak following the above tutorials.
That's as much info I could provide. Good luck with your research.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention @realjj, and sorry for the late reply - I had a feeling this mod wouldn't be compatible with Higher Levels Progression but hadn't bothered checking. I'll see if I can make a version that comes later in the load order.
Little late on this but the mod now comes later in the load order by default and has support for levels up to 200; it should work with higher level mods out of the box now :) Forging skills do not improve past level 100 but it'll still work just fine.
Actually a great mod. I can't speak for everyone, but I would just reload game if I ran out of focus on a craft. This mod just prevents you from having to do that. Simple but elegant, nice job.

I'll merge the mods on my local then :)
Thanks again for creating this mod.
Would you mind linking to the tutorials explaining how to look into that?
and how to merge mods in .pak files?
