I agree delisting the original was a rough way to handle the DE release. There really wasn't an easy way to "make it DLC" as a lot of people had hoped for, since it's quite a different engine build & a lot was changed under the hood (see link for more details/research). That said, they could have communicated this far better than they did, offered a discount, etc.
This is a textbook case of terrible marketing and alienating your own established customer base. Yet again speaks to why DQ has failed so miserably to catch on outside of Japan.
There are a lot of shady offers of OG keys out there from greymarket (third party) sellers -- and unforunately we've heard a lot of stories where people paid $70-80 for an OG key (trying to get the original version of the game) and ending up with the Definitive Edition. Effectively being scammed for $30-40 (or up to $64 compared to on-sale price). So i'd recommend very strongly against this.
i honestly do not know how to make alpha work with normal textures...
you should ask "black" if he is interested in doing it (he makes the nice jade texture work)
I personally finished the game 100% steam achievement today... so sadly i will be moving on... this was an absolute masterpiece of a game especially with the orchestral mod (available on steam as guide) as with all the amazing textures that were added :)

That's rather appropriate, seeing as the Divine Bustier is lifted from Jessica's final costume in the first place.
It would look really good with her MMA mask... It's a shame you never get to put those on. :c

Someone on the Dragon Quest Mods discord showed her mask recently... agreed it would fit really well with this armor :)
i think the person who posted the screenshot was only AT that "MMA" arena... but was using custom clothing texture he made... not quite sure what would be needed to have it show up elsewhere... would be pretty easy to re-color... but to add unto another costume... really no idea... and all my saves are very far past that point anyway :)

That said, DE is frequently on sale for as low as $16 -- so if you're even considering DQXI at this point, I'd strongly recommend wishlisting and getting it on sale.
