Hello! dumb question here... When I go to the Win64 folder in order to go to SK_Res and then inject and then textures, there's no SK_Res folder for me to keep going. Did I do something wrong when installing, or do I need to open SK in-game and activate something to have those folders be created?
EDIT: Apparently making the folders manually works. Awesome! It looks great, thank you so much for taking the time to make all of these texture mods! You've made it exceptionally difficult to choose between them which ones to pick!
I like this mod, both of them (for each sister), yet, I like keeping things organized. When we extract these mods they are just loose files, so I put them in a folder and they work perfectly.
I named the folders Sacred Cleric Serena and Sacred Sage Veronica. I hate loose files unless they are installed via a mod organizer.
Edit: Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't when I use this method. What I have found is that it will show the outfit in cut-scenes, and sometimes in-game. Even if I don't use folders it sometimes doesn't work, but this issue isn't exclusive with these mods, it happens with others too.
2nd Edit: I was wondering, could you possibly make different color variations? Really all I would want would be a reddish color for Veronica (even pink would work) using this design. Blue works for a healer (or white), and red would be good for a mage.
My apologies for not getting back to you in a timely manner.
I actually have a lot of folders in my own personal side, but a lot of people were getting confused, so I just left the loose files.
The glitch you are experiencing can be remedied using the following method: - Navigate through Special K - Look under the 'Direct3D 11 Settings' tab. - You should find a red button labeled 'Render Mod Tools'. Click on it and a new window will appear. - The 'Reload All Injected Textures' is another red button that you should find inside that new window, under the 'Live Texture View' tab." - Hit 'Reload All Injected Textures', and the glitch should remedy itself.
At the moment, I have only one functioning computer. The other is out of commission atm, so I wouldn't be able to edit my original files. For the time being, I do have these blue and purple recolors for the cast: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonquestxi/mods/38?tab=files
I'm so glad I finally decided to use this in my own game! I was perfectly okay with Veronica's default red clothes during the earlier scenes, but they somehow become much too basic to represent her as the powerful mage that she is later in the game. And obviously, it looks superb when paired with Serena's Saintly Set, to the point where I'd nearly consider this mod a must-have when Serena finally gets access to that outfit.
Many thanks once again for improving my experience with this game the way you do!
Hi there! I was wondering as DQ 11 modding only start right now... Does it is only possible to change texture, or can we also alter models? For example /!\ Spoiler /!\
I saw a special attack where Veronica get her original form (" adult ") during the animation. Does it would be possible to use that model and modifie the character model to have her adult instead of child?
For now, we can only alter the textures. For example, this mod edits both her adult and child self textures, even if she only appears as an 'adult' in certain cutscenes and moves.
Keep in mind that even if we managed to change her model to her adult self, the camera of the game would not change. Any time the camera would be pointed at her child Veronica's face in a cutscene, the camera would be pointed at adult Veronica's crotch. So while it might be cool in gameplay, I imagine the results would become very awkward in story-related cutscenes.
Okey thanks, lol yeah it would be.. weird, funny but very annoying on the long term. Modding on this game started not long ago.. so maybe later modders will discovers more about it.
Perhaps you know why, because it's not only your mod, but your mod does to it. Both this one and the Serena one only work if the camera is SUPER close. Anything less than them being in front of the camera, and they're in their vanilla colors. Some parts of the teal will show through the closer the camera gets, and will subsequently fade away the further the camera gets. I have all graphics on max settings. Texture mods I use that edit Erik and the Hero work completely fine.
EDIT; Okie dokie, turns out it was just another mod conflicting with the textures and I am a silly poo-poo head. Disregard, thanks for the great outfits!
This isn't a problem with the texture mods. At least, I don't think so. This is an issue with Special K. When it happens, navigating through SK's menu to "Reload Injected Textures" and clicking it is the key to fixing it. The old textures are trying to bleed through, most of the time. At least, that's my experience.
Edit: If you think it would help, you can upload some screenshots of it happening. I might be able to help you better that way.
Ahem. To quote a wise, much more skilled modder than I...
"To find that button inside Special K: Look under the 'Direct3D 11 Settings' tab, you should find a red button labeled 'Render Mod Tools'. Click on it and a new window will appear. I have to say, aside from the quality of your retextures, I'm in utter admiration before the galleries that you create to showcase them. Somehow I personally find creating galleries for my mods to be a much bigger hassle than creating the mods themselves, haha.
I haven't tested your mods yet because I'm still in the early game and prefer the basic subdued outfits for now, but I'm definitely looking forward to it in the near future!
Really? That's actually my favorite part to be honest. Seeing my textures in motion always makes me excited to take more snapshots. Protip (from someone who hasn't been doing this for very long)... If you ever do retextures of the Default costumes, there's a place in the Academy that lets you re-watch old cutscenes. Those are great for screenshots. If you're using Special K, if you press [Num -] , that screenshot will not show the dialogue. So you can have 'spoiler-free' cutscene pictures.

Thanks black34, for the copy-paste directions. XD
