I'd understand if they wouldn't fit in anywhere but if you can find a place for Heaven's Prayer and/or These Feelings (the PS2 version not the 3DS version) I will hug you. Heaven's Prayer especially. DQIX was my along with so many others' first dragon quest game and Heaven's Prayer holds a special place in my heart.

Hope this evolves into a bigger variety mod rather than a replacement one (as mentioned in the description),. Especially would be nice to have actual boss music...

Yes! It just so happens this is one of the things I looked into. There is a file that can be edited to call a separate music track for bosses. I think it's only used 2-3 times in the entire game, but it would definitely be possible to add this for several additional fights. There's about 48 different entries in the file (so at least 48 different fights that would be eligible for a different battle theme).
