4.1 version of the mod was released to fix the lack of a modded sub story jingle in the first modded bgm file. Only the main complete mod file was updated along with the standalone version of the first file. The rest of the files should work as intended using version 4.0

Hey there everybody! It took a little longer than I would have liked, but the mod is finally updated and is now compatible with the latest DLC, Goku's Next Journey! Hope you have as much fun playing with it as I had making it and please let me know if you have any thoughts or comments!
Extremely sad news about Toriyama-san, just like how it felt with Kikuchi-san. A huge, huge loss in the world of manga, anime, and video games. The word legend gets thrown out a lot nowadays, but in this case, if anything it is an understatement. He may no longer exist in this mortal realm of ours but throughout his wonderful and profound creations, his spirit will live on forever. R.I.P. and take care on your trip on the snake way Toriyama-sensei 💔💔💔
In case you need any source tracks as FLAC format (let's say because you couldn't find the FLAC version so you resorted to MP3), I can provide them to you. Just let me know.
This mod rules. Thank you for putting in the time and effort for each arc. I can't stand to listen to anything else. Is there any way to normalize the audio tho? Some songs are very quiet and others are very loud :/
Thanks Higgenboober ! I really appreciate your kind words! I've said before that I actually considered not publishing this mod because I wasn't sure how it would be received, but every time I see a comment like yours I'm reminded that it indeed was worth releasing even if one person got as much enjoyment out of it as I did :D
Regarding the fluctuating audio levels, I know what you mean. I feel that this actually was my Achilles heel when I made this mod! I tried to "fix" as much of it with each update, and I feel that I did manage to improve it actually, but it also doesn't surprise me that there is *still* some tracks that suffer from this issue. Part of the reason why this happens is because the tracks seem to actually play at different sound levels when I'm editing them compared to when I import them into the game's files and test them there.
But still, if you can tell me which tracks are bothering you the most, then I'll try my best to fix them!
I'm in the Cell Games part of the game right now and I don't notice it as much anymore. I think maybe it was more obvious during the Raditz and Saiya-jin arcs. I just watched a video on youtube of the game with it's default music and wow I'm so glad this mod exists. Honestly having the music from the TV series makes the game like 3x more fun for me. It's like I'm reliving the time I first watched Dragon Ball
What do you recommend in the options ? Should I leave it on random or should I select a specific track for the story I'm in ? For the record, I'm at the beginning of the game when Raditz kidnaps San Gohan.
You can leave the soundtrack setting in the options on the default setting (not set to random!). Just replace the bgm file in the game's folder with the modded bgm file that corresponds to your progress in the story! So in your case, you can just use the very first modded bgm file for now !
Thank you for your kind reply, and very nice mods indispensable even I can not do without this soundtrack and is so much better than the original and more realistic thank you has you.
Hello BO7AMMOOD, I noticed the first file used for when you're starting a new game has the side story jingle left untouched, and as I demonstrate on my video, file 2 for when Vegeta lands on Earth doesn't have this problem. I have all the files in separate rar files so I can switch easily like I do in the video. I'm playing a legal steam copy, so a potential reason for this could be the recent patch that added the new Mr. Satan side story.
Thanks for the heads up and your thorough video demonstrating the issue @phsd47 ! Actually, in such a freaky coincidence, despite this mod being available for download for five months now, you're the first person to bring this to my attention, but before you did, I actually noticed it while I was watching someone I know playing the game from the beginning using the mod literally hours before you posted here! Crazy right? :D
I thought that I should take a look at it later to see why that happened, but despite seeing it with my own eyes I still couldn't believe that I would make such an oversight! But after seeing your post, I immediately knew something was wrong with the mod!
I didn't think it was the new Mr. Satan sub story because usually when an update changes the soundtrack, the modded files fail to produce any music in game!
So I checked the files out and apparently I simply (somehow!) forgot to replace that specific jingle only for the very first modded file! I've fixed both the main file now and the separate download as well (labelled 4.1) and re-uploaded both of them!
Thanks again for posting about it here and reaffirming to me that I needed to take a look at the mod to see why this was happening :D
No problem, I'm recording the game for Let's Play purposes(I'm gonna give credit to you for being cool with feedback the next time I record commentary btw, wish certain people on gamebanana were like you), So this makes it way easier for me. Had to use file 2 when recording the bit with the side quest jingle for the side quest in the video.
Sorry to hear that you had swap files more than you had to! It was actually a bit of an oversight on my part. Hopefully I remember not to make the mistake next time I update the mod!
I'm not sure if this will be of any help but what version of the game are you currently playing? Look in the main menu on the top right corner to check. Also, do you have access to all the DLCs or just some of them?
Unfortunately this is something well beyond the realm of my abilities. Sorry! I know some people were working on dubbing the game's voice acting in other languages but I'm not sure if those mods got released. Hope you're enjoying this mod at least and thanks for your kind words :D
Well, why not try testing some of the modded music files to see which one you really like and then sticking with it? You could do that though I'd still recommend switching the music file :D
Well, that's what I recommend! If you want the game's soundtrack to match the anime's soundtrack, then you should change the bgm file depending on the saga that you're playing!
