For whatever reason when I try and use this mod no music plays at all. Anyone got a fix?

Because this mod is outdated and not on the latest version.

I have some feedback for whenever you may come back to this. These comments are based on my experience with foosmeels's updated version, and he said I should inform you of these instead.

    -

The Rock the Dragon "intro" is shortened version that has voices and sound effects in the background. I would recommend switching that out for a version that has the full song and "clean" audio. Like this.

The music in this pack has very uneven audio. Some tracks are quite loud, while others are extremely quiet. For example, the "epiosde title" jingle is barely audible even with music volume at max.

Many tracks also don't loop properly, either fading out and restarting, or abruptly cutting out and restarting.

Here's my opinions on specific songs. Foosmeels said some songs are mixed up because of the 2.02 update, and I didn't use any previous version of this mod, so I don't know if any of these are among the mixed up ones. Note also that I haven't yet done a full playthrough of the game with the modded soundtrack, so these opinions mainly come from me listening to them in the options menu and comparing them to the unmodded song and my memory of where the unmodded song was typically used. Regardless, here are my thoughts:

For the full vocal version of Cha La Head Cha La that plays during the final Goku vs Kid Buu fight in the story, I think Rock the Dragon should
go over this if at all possible. Presently, it's replaced by the instrumental opening theme.

I would recommend cutting out the 26 second intro to the Super Saiyan 3 theme. "WE GOTTA POWER", the song that the SS3 theme replaces, is primarily used as a battle theme, so I think I think it would be better to not have almost half a minute of slow buildup before the actual hype-inducing part of the song starts.Almost every boss fight in the Buu Saga uses this as the battle theme too as I recall, so the lack of a "wait time" before the fight-y part of the song starts would help it to not feel repetitive.

The song that replaces "Prologue II" sounds too sinister, imo. "Prologue II" is a heroic overture, so I think the song that replaces it should be a heroic-sounding theme.

The song that replaces "City Living" is rather awkwardly cut, being short and looping abruptly. Here's a better version that I was able to dig up. I also think that this song should go over one of the exploration themes, rather than the city theme.

"Home to a Hero" is another song replaced by something that sounds too sinister. Perhaps one of the Great Saiyaman's themes would fit for this and City Living?

I think some of the regular battle themes are mixed up. "Frieza Force on the Move" is replaced by one of Trunks's themes, and "Return of the Red Ribbon Army" is replaced by Vegito's theme. I don't remember 100% where each of the battle themes played, but judging by their names, I assume FFotM is the regular battle theme theme for the Frieza Saga, while RotRR is the Android Saga regular battle theme. I'm guessing that Trunk's theme was meant to go over RotRR, and Vegito's theme was meant to go over the Buu Saga regular battle theme (which is "Super Warrior Skirmish", I'm guessing from the order the songs are listed ingame).

For "Battle Against a Fierce Foe", I think this edit of the Ginyu Force theme would be better.

The version of Gohan Angers that replaces "The Ultimate Android" is so close to having a perfect loop, if only it didn't briefly fade out. If you don't know how to loop, what about using longer versions?

The song replacing "A Moment of Peace" is way too quiet. I can barely hear it at max volume. (I also kinda like the unmodded version of this song more.)

"Everyday Misadventures" and "On the Hunt" are two more songs that sound too sinister for what they're mainly used for. These are lighthearted exploration themes, so I feel something less tense would fit better (perhaps the song that currently replaces "City Living"could go over one of these?) (And "On the Hunt" is another song I like the unmodded version of.)

The song replacing "It's Gonna Be All Right" is too way too dramatic. It's a good song, but I feel it would fit better over something like "Prologue II".

On the flip side, "Fast and Furious Fight" isn't dramatic enough. This is a song that plays during "oh shoot, gotta hurry!!!!" moments in the story, so I feelsomething more frantic would fit better.

For "Hold Your Breath", I think the song that currently replaces "Need for Speed" would fit here better.

The song replacing "SONGOHAN TO PICCOLO DAIMAOU" is excessively loud.

The song replacing "TENKA WAKEMONO CHOUKESSEN!!" is a bit too dramatic for what it's typically used for. I think this would go better over one of
the regular battle themes or boss themes.

Lastly, I don't have any of the DLC for the Steam version yet, so I can't hear any of the songs this mod changes in those DLCs, but I can at least make some general comments.

If Heroic Trunks and Episodic Trunks aren't used anywhere in the Trunks DLC, I think they should be. And while it's not a Faulconer song, I don't think anything would fit better over the Dabura battle theme, the final boss of the Trunks DLC, than this.

For the Bardock DLC, I think the version of Solid State Scouter used in it should be left alone, as that's a fantastic theme that fits perfectly
for what it's used for. I also think the music in the 23rd Tournament DLC is generally pretty good and should be left unmodded (and the arc
that this DLC covers didn't even have a Faulconer score in the anime anyway).

Sorry for that enormous wall of text! If you actually read through all of that, thank you very much, and I hope you'll take my comments into consideration!

Sorry I've been radio silent for so long, I just really haven't been bothered to update this and honestly never expected them to keep adding content for this long. I will update this soon or later I'm not sure considering they still have one more dlc I think? Which will break it again. So if I don't update this soon I'll definitely update it with the last dlc.

Thank you for this update! I was starting to lose hope, as to this mod not being updated for the current version. I even downloaded the music editor 7zip to try my hand at it but I'm completely clueless as to where I need to start LOL I'm excited to see a newer version of this mod to be released whenever you can budget the time and effort into it. I'd say this goes for every modder on this website, so thank you for your hard work on this! ...and happy new year! :)

Here is an update I made to make it work til the main man does their own

EDIT: Seems as though the music doesn't line up with the original so as the music is there..... some is hilariously in the wrong places lol
I just quickly swapped the files.

Here is the music file editor I used to do this.
    Music File Editor
    1. The raditz battle track is not even a battle track its like baby music, just watch this and skip till the end at about 40 seconds Broken Falcouner Music - YouTube

Haha well, that's funny. As I've never actually known this mod existed before yesterday and I had the update and can't roll back I have no idea what music is supposed to go where. Also, never actually tried to do this particular thing before so I spent a few hours learning how to do it  I used the original mod file and matched all the same file names with the new file. So it's clear that some of the files are now changed compared to the original.

Well, that sucks. I was really hoping this would be an easy fix, rather than me having to essentially make my own mod outta this.
Thanks for letting me know all the same.

I'll try to figure something out with it. I may just make my own version since I have the falcouner music myself, but that will take longer than this as I'd have to edit the songs down.

Massive massive thank you for this mate, its made playing this game so much more enjoyable(especially since I didn't back up the bgm files so I basically had no music. Ofc, due to the update and you facing issues with some of the files being different, its not perfect but 1. Its not like there's only one track that can fit each specific scene and 2. Its still really good. Thanks again

Why did you do this to us Bruce? You couldve just quietly exited when they told you "no thanks" for GT. Now look at us. Intermitently waiting months on end to play a game that couldve had your music had you not been a douche

Please, forcing us to play with the original music is inhumane.  Look in your heart and find mercy.
