Do I need to start a New Game to use this mod? I wish I would have known about this mod a week ago. I've already spend a TON of gold for weapons/armor.
Maybe I'm missing something. I just arrived in Haven after installing your mod, but I have no idea how to unlock Masterwork crafting. Does it automatically unlock as a passive upon zoning in, or is there a book I need to find? I would really like to use your mod, I just need to figure out what to do or look for. Thanks!!!
Edit: Never mind, just figured it out. Works great.
It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure this is how I figured it out: I check online on other sites for suggestions on how to mod this game (it can be a little difficult to start out) I found out that if you have any other type of mod that also affects crafting ability, it will interfere with the mod you want to use. That in mind, I forget what mod I had at the time, but I deactivated it and just went with this one and presto. There is no type of book or passive or anything. You just need the mod and the master work materials to craft with. If you have the materials, just go to Harrit (the blacksmith in Haven) and just get started. If you need masterwork mats, you won't get many at all until end-game, so I recommend garbing a shop mod that will sell those to you (my personal favorite is Craft'O'Rama, can't remember the authors name, but just search for it, it works great.) Not sure what else to say, just follow the mod authors instructions to the letter and you'll be fine. Good luck and have fun!!!
The game is set up to prevent save scumming for masterworked items. It's predetermined wether or not it will work. What you CAN do is save, make several masterwork items, and (example) if it worked on the third try, reload your save, make two throwaway masterworks, and then make the real masterwork on the third go.
Great mod. It's nice to be able to use the low level fade touched materials that normally go to waste because I've outleveled them by the time I get to Skyhold. Thanks for your work on this.
