Although my mods were created and designed for DAI Mod Manager, they can all be imported and used by Frosty EXCEPT for the configurable ones. Unfortunately Frosty does not support configurable mods and is unlikely to do so anytime soon.
Mod manager says this mod is not compatible with my patch.
My mods were created with various versions of the modding tools and with various game patches up to and including patch 11 (internal version number 12). If you synchronise your game with Origin you will not get this error message. The game is pretty cheap now so please consider buying it.
I'm getting infinite loading on returning to Skyhold/fast travelling.
This is a known issue with some texture/mesh replacer mods. None of my mods fall into that category. The usual culprits are companion mods/cosmetic changes or texture replacers. The only way to track the issue is to remove those mods and add them back in individually. Check the comments section on all mods before you download them.
Do your mods work with Trespasser/JoH/The Descent/Black Emporium?
As far as I can tell all of my mods work in all of the DLC apart from the "investigate the bodies" scene in The Descent when all mods have to be disabled. Do that by incrementing the patch number in package.mft by 1 (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch) then downgrading it again when you're past that scene. All hex edit mods, as opposed to texture and mesh replacer mods, will work fine in the DLC. The other option is to use Frosty and import your Daimods or use both mod managers. You can find tutorials for this on the DAI Modding Discord.
Do you take requests?
Usually no, I don't have the time, but if it's an addition or a natural extension to one of my existing mods then I'll consider it.
I'm getting a error message from Mod Manager - something about zlib/mscorlib/blah blah
There are many things that can cause Mod Manager to crash and refuse to build a patch for you. Sometimes just reinstalling it can fix the problem. Sometimes you're trying to install an old mod that's not compatible with the latest game patch. Check out the troubleshooting guides on the DAI Modding Discord.
I'm still having problems getting your mod to work.
You can post a comment here, but I have made a lot of mods and don't always have the time to provide support. First try this troubleshooting guide DAI Modder Central on tumblr. If that doesn't solve your problem, then try the DAI Modding Discord server: https://discord.gg/wzJG7Mq
As of June 2023 this mod works perfectly fine. As a collector, it's been a real issue for me to be unable to open all Halla Doors. But no more. Thanks tirnoney!
If this mod doesn't work for you, look for the save editor on the web and use it to open the latest saved game. In the plot integer flags field look for this address [841C476CA7492D498DA8F42566DD0352] . Set it to something like 55 and you'll have 55 statuettes. Press update and save the file and then rename it so it looks exactly like the latest save filename.
What weebon means is, Download a DAI Save editor. Open your last save game with the editor. In the editor search for this address " [841C476CA7492D498DA8F42566DD0352] " It is what the game uses to track the number of statuettes you have in your inventory. Set it to any number you want and you'll have that many statuettes. Update and save.
Thank you so amazingly so so so much for that trick, weebon. I'm illiterate when it comes to Windows stuff, but that DAISaveGameEditor did the trick just so ... great. All doors are now open, like it should have been... Merci very beaucoup.
Currently on my very first playthrough in 2021. I haven't even gotten to this mission yet and I feel like this is pertinent information. I'm going to sticky this page and research whatever problem this is when I get to the mission.
Its so rare to find the answer to a problem before the problem even presents itself.
Infinite loading is caused almost exclusively by mesh and texture replacer mods (hair, complexion, eyebrows, outfit retextures, etc.). Since this is happening in the servant's quarters for you specifically and not anywhere else the first thing to consider is any mods that affect Brialla's appearance.
omg ur a genius and i absolutely love u! thank u so much this is precious info it wasnt any brialla mod since i wasn't using any but it WAS a texture mod for sure since now it works after disabling just a couple cole retextures since he's in my party and a formal wear one i had on frosty, so it might be one of those 3 for sure, oh my, i had given up playing for the past few days trying to figure out first what was happening and dreading having to disable all mods as a whole just to play this section but u just cracked it in the most concise and simple way possible xD that's why U'r the modder and us, just humble and helpless users.... have i said that i love u already? seriously i was almost in a panic with this game xD hahahahaa hope u have a wonderful weekend and have lots of fun u deserve it xD take care and thank u again
I discovered it's less stressful to go ahead and dance with Floripoo BEFORE clearing the trophy room. Game doesn't seem to care if you do the trophy room before or after the dance with Florienne. Florianne. Floripoo!
Not sure if this is related to the mod or not, but after installing it, I have come across a problem: in the Royal Wing, the door that leads to Jardin de Reverie is locked and clicking on it just says "the door is locked from behind" and for the life of me, I can't figure out why this happened. Any input would be appreciated
Otherwise, great mod to correct a glaring dev oversight. Thanks tirnoney!
I've successfully used this mod a couple of times in the past year, but just now I attempted to open the door to the locket while I had two statuettes in my inventory, and it said I needed one more. Not sure what's changed. I triple checked that I had the mod installed and all that.
