Although my mods were created and designed for DAI Mod Manager, they can all be imported and used by Frosty EXCEPT for the configurable ones. Unfortunately Frosty does not support configurable mods and is unlikely to do so anytime soon.
Mod manager says this mod is not compatible with my patch.
My mods were created with various versions of the modding tools and with various game patches up to and including patch 11 (internal version number 12). If you synchronise your game with Origin you will not get this error message. The game is pretty cheap now so please consider buying it.
I'm getting infinite loading on returning to Skyhold/fast travelling.
This is a known issue with some texture/mesh replacer mods. None of my mods fall into that category. The usual culprits are companion mods/cosmetic changes or texture replacers. The only way to track the issue is to remove those mods and add them back in individually. Check the comments section on all mods before you download them.
Do your mods work with Trespasser/JoH/The Descent/Black Emporium?
As far as I can tell all of my mods work in all of the DLC apart from the "investigate the bodies" scene in The Descent when all mods have to be disabled. Do that by incrementing the patch number in package.mft by 1 (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch) then downgrading it again when you're past that scene. All hex edit mods, as opposed to texture and mesh replacer mods, will work fine in the DLC. The other option is to use Frosty and import your Daimods or use both mod managers. You can find tutorials for this on the DAI Modding Discord.
Do you take requests?
Usually no, I don't have the time, but if it's an addition or a natural extension to one of my existing mods then I'll consider it.
I'm getting a error message from Mod Manager - something about zlib/mscorlib/blah blah
There are many things that can cause Mod Manager to crash and refuse to build a patch for you. Sometimes just reinstalling it can fix the problem. Sometimes you're trying to install an old mod that's not compatible with the latest game patch. Check out the troubleshooting guides on the DAI Modding Discord.
I'm still having problems getting your mod to work.
You can post a comment here, but I have made a lot of mods and don't always have the time to provide support. First try this troubleshooting guide DAI Modder Central on tumblr. If that doesn't solve your problem, then try the DAI Modding Discord server: https://discord.gg/wzJG7Mq
15/10/2015: I've added all the schematics available in the DLC files for JoH, Descent and Trespasser to Schematic Spree. Schematics for armours sold by the Dwarven Bookseller in this mod and many of the Trespasser weapons are included.
For both the Redcliffe Crafting Supply and Redcliffe Supply DLC Edition there are three optional versions. Choose and install ONE version only from each mod:
Normal prices - The shop will sell at the vanilla rate (100%) and buy from you at the vanilla rate (15%).
Discount prices - The shop will sell at 25% of the usual rate and buy from you at 25%. Weighted in your favour compared to vanilla, but not exploitable. This is particularly good for the Trespasser weapons in the DLC Edition if you want the challenge of saving up for them but not getting ripped off.
Free/Zero prices - The shop will sell to you for nothing and buy from you at 250%. Exploitable for lots of gold.
You'll probably not see this but I'll put it here anyway. This mod works for me partially, it's very strange all the weapons, armors and belts show up just fine but only the crafting supplies don't show up. Same thing happens for your other Redcliffe crafting supply mod no crafting supply shows up in the shop just the vanilla items are on offer. The mods load up without any errors or warnings in DAI MM and the merge is clean. I'm running my game on patch 12 and my character is level 12,still in Haven currently and didn't do Black Emporium. Im using the normal price version of your mods and I also merged DAI MM and Frosty together with no conflicts so far. I can't for the love of the Maker figure out what's gone wrong with these mods!
I've not encountered this problem before. If you're absolutely sure no other mods are conflicting, then it might be an issue with using DAI MM with Frosty. It works most of the time, but it's not really a supported thing to do and can cause some odd bugs. At some point I would like to release Frosty versions of my mods, but there are so many of them that it's quite a large undertaking unfortunately and I keep putting it off!
Yo! Just wanted to say, I THOUGHT i had the same problem, but i do not. I thought the dwarf had the crafting supplies, but was wrong, its actually the other merchant in the little town square. The opposite one of the Redcliff crafting supply mod.
anyone can make a lighter version of this with instead of the purple (unique accessories), enabling only the rare/blue/enhanced versions? I wanted to get more enhanced amulets of barrier and enhanced belts of urgency, not the superb versions, the enhanced are already pretty op but i can only get 1 of each on any playthrough. =/
edit: nvm, i just thought, hey cant i dupe items? so i went ahead, paid full price for each piece of accessory i wanted (barrier amulet and urgency belt from the dwarven book merchant), deleted &/or stored it for use after i get into tresspasser, then i went to the deposit in Skyhold and duped the enhanced version of each of those. Just if i had bought the blue version (even paid extra for it, although i do have a more loot mod installed lol). Now both my inquisitor and iron bull can have one of each, iron bull is too vulnerable no matter what armor and accessories i put in him, considering that the amulet of barrier normal version doesnt work at all (probably bugged) which is the reason that forced my hand into dupping the enhanced version =D, if i had the normal one working from trial rewards, i could put it in my inquisitor since it does a fuckload of damage and the enhanced on bull to help him survive more. GG everyone. Merry Xmas
From the description: "This mod is designed to be used with (but is not dependent upon) Redcliffe Crafting Supply which adds base game crafting materials to the weapons shop in Redcliffe."
The items you are talking about have always been part of the base game and are included in Redcliffe Crafting Supply, not this supplementary mod.
Hello, I have started game with this and original redclif mod, normal prices. I just realised that materials can be bought from Black Emporium DLC, just need levels to unlock those. And now I feel like I'v cheated. Can this mod be safely disabled? I haven't been to Redcliff yet, but I think that untill someone reply me it will be allready visited. Ty.
You can disable the mod and continue playing. The original items will reappear in the shop. The Black Emporium however, does not sell most of the things in this mod. It does sell most of the base Tier 3 Materials in the main Redcliffe Supply mod, but none of the fade touched stuff.
Oh, so I will be left without "gold tier" materials. Can you suggest on my course of action? I am plying this part of game for the 1st time, so don't want spoiling gameplay badly, however I am using few mod to save time, since I cant play that much as I'd wanted ) So how much of a spoiler will it be on normal prices? Thanks.
Well, it's in the "Cheats and God Items" section for a reason. If it's your 1st playthrough then honestly I'd suggest you don't install it. I'd suggest you use More Fade Touched instead which simply increases the drop rate a bit for the masterwork items. That is a more balanced way to go for your 1st time. You can also use my Better Uniques mod which makes Unique items a more viable alternative to crafting if you don't want to do the crafting at all.
Thanks a lot for the reply. So I am safe to remove this and non LDC version at this point, where I did not entered Redcliff? Or the non dlc version has less godlike items? Should I just uninstall one or both. And thank you very much for your time and effort. upd. More fade touched looks outdated, and does not seem to work with dlc'd version. But will definitely give it a try.
Don't use either Redcliffe supply mod for your 1st playthrough. This game is not like Bethesda games, you can install and uninstall mods at any time without ruining your save file. If you are using cosmetic mods, you will probably need to uninstall them before you go to the DLCs anyway. It wont cause any problems.
My apology if this question has been asked before, but: Any difference between this one and your mod Crossroads Crafting Supply? Sadly I use the Crossroads Merchant for armor mods, and the Crossroads version of this mod made the armor disappear and I'd like to be able to use both of the mods, without one or the other being removed
The Crossroads one is mostly there as alternative that's accessible earlier in the game. Most things sold by Crossroads will also be sold by the Redcliffe stores, although the Crossroads one sells a finite number which allows you to buy a stack of say 200 at once instead of clicking one at a time, so it's a bit more convenient. That's all really.
I installed the mod for the ice dragon bone and ice dragon hide but there is nothing to buy in the crafting materials section. The other items (armor, weapons, etc) are there though. Did anyone have this problem before?
EDIT: Never mind, my bad. I was looking into the wrong shop :D.
Gud evening can i ask something anyone? is this compatible with dragon age inquisition deluxe edition? how do i disable and enable this mod because there will be a certain quest u need to buy at the merchant in redcliffe?
