For some reason using the frosty version of the decor module caused a bunch of the carpets in redcliffe castle to be all rainbow-pixelated. Havent gotten to Skyhold yet so I’m not sure if it’d have happened there too. This happened while using frosty and daimods at the same time, that.. might have had something to do with it? Regardless, I downloaded the daimod version and imported it into frosty and that worked fine.
I do so love all the changes you’ve made here, glad I could get it to work
Going to need some more details... Which version of the mod, daimod or Frosty? Are you using any other mods that alter the decor? Have you tried disabling other mods just to test this one? That should always be a first step, to ensure that there are no conflicts. These are just texture replacements, so there is no reason it shouldn't work as long as there are no other conflicting mods.
Also, if this is about the default Inquisition carpet and drapes, as I mentioned in the description, your monitor calibration might also be an issue.
Thank you! Any chance you might do something about the windows behind the throne too? They always felt severely out of place to me (then again, I always felt cheated that the "Windows" customization only affects your bedroom windows...) Not to mention the flags/banner/things on all the tents with the inqusition symbol on it?
EDIT: By the way, does it matter which decor we use for the rugs? Cause I'm using the andrastian chantry (I really like the statues it comes with) but all my square rugs are red, while my round ones are black?
I did an edit of the windows in the great hall, but I'm not able to take comparison screens at the moment. I prefer the default ones, but I'll upload the edit for you anyway after I can take some screenshots.
As for the rugs... the rugs are tied to the type of decor. I use the basic decor all the time, but any other decor will change the rugs to their matching style along with the dining kit in the great hall and adding statuary. The Andrastian Chantry's rugs are a red rectangular rug, and a black circular rug with Chantry sun (seen in Inquisitor's quarters, regardless of decor). If you want to use the rugs in this mod then you will have to go back to the basic decor.
Ahh, I suspected as much, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to confirm my suspicions. Either way the red and black does look fairly good together (weird how some things grows on you!). But I would love to see the window edit when you get it screenshotted or uploaded, cause I never did like the default windows. ^^;
And an even later response... Thank you! :D I was just getting ready to do one more play through cause I realized I never did romance Dorian (which is basically a crime) so now I can do so with a nice looking Skyhold to go with it! :)
Does your wonderful lore-friendly mod only change the drapes and rug models used in skyhold (and elsewhere) or does it have a more extensive change, for example the Banners that you place at claimed lore sites, or the throw-cloths on the tents in the field camps? I guess i'm curious as to the extent of the changes and what is, isnt, or could potentially be affected. I'm using LL's inquisition faction mod now but as wonderful as it is on its own, isnt lore friendly.
Edit: Downloading yours anyway, plus the faction uniforms.
Sorry for the late response. This mod changes only what is shown in the images (and in the description...): the Inquisition drapes and rugs from being a greenish color to dark gray. The rest of the Inquisition paraphernalia in the game already has the gray color, which is why I changed these to match.
LL basically did the opposite with their mod. They took the green in the uniforms and in the drapes/rugs and ran with it as the colors of the Inquisition and changed everything else to match that. Basically, you should decide which color scheme you prefer and use one mod or the other.
Thank goodness someone is doing this. The blatantly out of place orange and green has annoyed me so much for so long, especially when I'm trying to get my party in matching Inquisition colors but apparently none of our actual soldiers or decorators are on board. Thank you! If you decide/are able to change the uniforms too, I will forever be in your debt.
It's a monitor calibration issue; I can see the difference on my own screen. It's easier to see in-game with that lighting, moving around, and so forth.
