Is there any way to alter the whites of the eyes to be pure-black for the Qunari in the game (or at the very least replace them in the character creation menu for the Inquisitor)?
I loved the way that Qunari eyes looked in Dragon Age 2, but unfortunately I haven't found a mod where anyone has even attempted it. I am more than willing to create the mod myself, I just need to know if it is possible and a nudge in the right direction as to how to begin trying.
The reason no modder has attempted it is because it's impossible to do so. Every character in the game shares the same sclera (the whites) and there is only 1 texture used. Not even Corypheus has unique eye textures like he did in DA2. With the current tools it is not possible to add a brand new texture.
Just happened to see my post here. For anyone new, there has been an update on the black sclera issue for qunari. A modder has managed to make it happen by way of EBX edit, so it doesn't conflict with NPCs or eye texture mods. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2572
I'm having an issue where everyone's eyes look brown or muddied. I don't know why. Is it the game's shading. No matter what light, there is no vibrance in any cut scene.
I've been looking at various eye mods to see if someone else had the issue I'm having and had it answered, but while others have had this issue nobody has yet to answer. If anyone is kind enough to see my comment and help I'd appreciate it.
For reference. I don't use the SweetFX shading because it slowed my computer down. While I have a good computer and designed it for gaming, after 5 years, it's a bit dated so it doesn't handle newer games with higher end graphics as well. I have my meshes set on Ultra so I can use the hair mods and the game works fine, all other are set on Medium. Do I need all my settings on Ultra for eye mods? I know lashes are influenced by it, so I thought maybe that was my problem. I want to use these gorgeous eye mods but nothing is working :/
I'm so sorry to reply so late and so sorry to hear that you're having issues with your eyes! I hope you were able to figure out the problem! If you're having issues still after this long I'd be glad to help you the best I can, but I can't promise I'll be much help since it's been so long since I've played.
Thankyou for this. I love having the dark limbal ring, but I also like to make my eyes colourful, I was thinking just yesterday how I wished there was a mod like this before I found it!
Oh man, these are pretty. It's a shame I'm already so attached to the eye textures I'm already using (because they make my Inquisitor's eyes look absolutely gorgeous), but if I wasn't already using that mod I'd definitely use these. The dark limbal ring really does make the eyes stand out so much!
Who knows, maybe I'll set up an alternate modpatch for my game so that I can enjoy this on characters that aren't my main Inquisitor?

Thank you for your hard work on this mod.
