I had this problem too when I started new games. I found out that for me it was the modded hair. just delete all complexion, eyebrow, hair, tattoo etc.. mods, start a new game. Just choose the options which the mods replace (e.g if the hair mod replaces the 3rd hairstyle just choose that one). As soon as you've finished the normal intro scene in the cell will play. Once the dialogue ends you can save the game, close it and install all mods. Once you did that you can start the game anew and voilà the mods should have replaced the vanilla meshes (if you chose the right ones )
