Thank you all for the support and kind comments, this was an interesting journey, but my life no longer lets me dedicate time to modding, as it takes too much of the time that I use to earn a living. I can no longer afford it.

In case anyone in 2023 would want to ask the question: No, it doesn't work with The Descent, Trespasser and Jaws of Hakkon (in fact, just inside the Old Temple). Take it off while doing these DLC and you'll be good.
That said, this mod is really great, I love it. Even though it's no longer supported, thanks a lot to the creator. <3
Huh they work for me with no issue for both Descent and JoH, with Josie and Cass working for Trespasser as well do you use the individual files or one of the all in one variations?
I think it's the all-in-one, I did not try the individual files, to be honest I didn't cared enough about this to try. It was quicker to just, take it off and play lol. But it's good to know that some can in fact works with these DLCs.
Check the mod description; deshine mods do not work with Tresspasser, which is why there are Tresspasser compatible mods available in the files section.
does the deshine all in one conflict with any other face textures, or do they not clash? like, if i have a solas face retexture installed, will they both work, (or will this mod not effect it at all) or will it cause problems. thank you so much for all the work you do for the modding community. we appreciate it greatly <3
Unless the textures edit spec maps there is no conflict. Though im pretty sure most Solas retexes edit spec maps too. If you place Solas retex below all-in-one deshine in load order it should overwrite my spec edit fine.
i havent bought tresspasser yet. yeah i mean the shine. but i didnt quite get you what you said. sorry and i checked the files section and found 'Cullen Cass Leli edits - Trespasser compatibility' does it contain onlu cassandra cullen and leliana ? and npcs like viviene, varric, dorian, josephine doesnt?? and does it contain the high res stubbed cullen? i'm getting tresspasser for the holiday and i'm really into this mod. sorry for being such a bug and if you dont mind me asking, would you tell us what reshade/enb you are using?? those screenshots look gorgeous
Well the only edits which change something about the facial textures (aside from the removed shine) are for Cullen, Cass and Leliana. The rest of the companions only get the shine removed from them. Unfortunately Trespasser does not work with no shine versions, hence only the Cullen, Cass and Leli compatibility pack. The compatibility pack has the normal res Cullen edit, as I am afraid high-res would not work in Trespasser. High-res textures do not work during some game transitions so id assume they would not work in a DLC so famous for its mod incompatibility.
For the rest of the game you can use the no shine versions, they work fine.
As for the preset. I use: SweetFX - http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/53/? LostisPreset - https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/2635/ And a ton of personal Cinematic Tools tweaks - http://www.bfcinematictools.com/dai/ (such as brightness, contrast, saturation, hue etc)
I hope thats an alright explanation. If you have any questions, please let me know - i suck at explaining things .
Sorry, I want to be sure about this, so you have to bend a metal pole for me in this case... I absolutely love your edits. Even if they're minor, they are perfect and literally essential once you try them.
When it comes to Cullen, the difference between hi-res v0.2 and hi-res v0.3 is only those added minor cuts, right? Compatible Trespasser version is same as normal res v0.2, but with the shine and will work with the DLC?
This is excellent. I looked through 60 mods until I found your mod and it's exactly what I was looking for: a skin retexture of that aweful shiny/plastic looking NPC skin - gag! I couldn't beleive that Bioware couldn't get skin right in 2014 on the frostbite engine. Thank you for doing this mod, it will make a huge difference in my playthrough.
Hello! First I want to say thank you for making this. I was wondering, which file is version 1 for Cullen's tweaks? I only see different files for versions 2 and 3. Is it one of the old files for him?
Hi and thank you Yeah if I recall correctly v1 is very old, the tweaks are so minor they are literally invisible, the only major change is shine removal. Thats really the reason why I never worked more on it.
Thank you! I figured that was it but I wanted to make sure anyway just in case I was missing something. I like all three versions and I couldn't decide which one to use so I was going to try them all out in-game. The de-shines alone really do make a nice difference, though. Everyone looks so sweaty all the time, and it's snows at Haven and Skyhold! I do like version one though. For me personally, that face is already handsome enough for me so I like the minimal change.

Or do you mean the shine? The Trespasser compatible ones have the shine back.

V0.3 Cullen has cuts, v0.2 doesnt.
All Trespasser compatible textures have shine added back on.

(should have done it a long time ago)
