Probably a lost cause asking this given its age, but im trying to get the Robeaus outfit to work as a pj replacer, and the Shudad one to replace the armor of the last inquisitor, the problem is both replace the skyhold pjs and i only want the Robeaus to do it, can this be achived with this mod or would i have to find a way to edit the files, i've tried messing with the priority but it seems to have no effect

'given its age' ... it was updated four months ago lmao

You don't need this mod at all for what you're after. Shudad replaces the Last Inquisitor mesh directly. If you load Robeaus after Shudad (lower in the right hand Frosty panel), it should override the PJ replacer files in Shudad with its own. That would give you Shudad for Last Inquisitor (and prologue, since it has files that tell the game to the use the last inqy mesh for the prologue) and Robeaus for Skyhold.

If you want Robeaus for the prologue starting armor specifically, you could either make a mod that reverts Shudads changes to the part_app prologue files (you'd basically just need to export the vanilla files to a fbmod (though i think you'd have to do some tiny change to them since frosty only exports files that have been changed) and load it after Shudad OR much easier, don't activate Shudad until after the prologue.

Yeah i think i was looking at a different mods post section when i commented cuz now looking it at that didn't make sense lol

Anyways, i've tried what you're saying, several times, but no matter where i shove them in the load order Shudad will ALWAYS overwrite the PJ replacer, the only way i've even been able to see Robeaus is by grabbing the file that replaces the formal wear with the prologue mesh, since i can craft the formal wear for myself. Are there any other mods that might just cause it to always take priority?

Edit: Yep well i checked my entire mod list, no other mod intereferes with the skyhold pj's, and changing the load order for these two just seems to have no effect whatsoever, i guess im resorting to not using shudad for a while

      That's weird as heck.

I opened them back up in Frosty Editor to make sure I wasn't using different methods to change the skyhold pjs but they both definitely just replace the equip_armor_unequipped file that points the game at the mesh to use. It should absolutely just use the one that's loaded last. I can't think of anything else that would affect that. OH WAIT

I THINK what's happening is that Robeaus is telling the game 'use the prologue armor for the skyhold pjs' but then Shudad is telling the game 'use the last inquisitor for the prologue' so the game's going skyhold -> prologue -> last inquisitor. So technically Robeaus IS winning the conflict as it should, Shudad's just being sneaky and sliding in there.

Here's a copy of Shudad without the prologue or skyhold appearance swap files (if you want shudad for the prologue segment, use the old file and then swap to this one once you get to Haven). I haven't tested this so lmk if there's issues. ALSO I have updated to Frosty Editor 1.0.6.3 so you will likely need to update your mod manager if you're still using a version older than that.

Ayyy that works like a charm! Thank you! Yeah i figured it was something like that because rarely does load order shifting have no effect on what mod wins a conflict, appreciate the fix, would suggest plopping this under optional files or maybe on the original download for Shudad as an extra option when you've got the time, much love and thank u for the mods

Also, and i know this is kind of a big ask but i figured i'd shoot my shot, is there any chance we could get a version of Shudad without the cape? The clipping with basically every weapon and shield in the game, plus the leg, is really distracting

It's in a sub folder of the Shudad mega folder so it should be available from the original link.

And sorry, but probably not. I'm working on a new mod at the moment and that's taking most of my focus. Those armors are years old at this point and I'm not sure if I even still have the blender working files or not. From memory it'd also be more work than simply deleting the cape, there'd need to be some reworking of where the cloak attaches for it not to look weird (I think I considered doing a no cloak at the time and decided against it), and I'd need to do that on the HM and EM versions separately. If I find the segmented blender files, and it looks like something that can be done quickly, then I might but... it's probably not likely.

I did realise I only provided the LI only version for the Black version of Shudad, so I've added the white one to the folder as well: https://mega.nz/folder/Le4AnJjL#CRhnMlURc-QZRVj8yeyIBQ

Great mod! The descriptions are easy to understand! Thank you so much!

Also, would you consider making replacers for your companions for Wicked eyes and wicked hearts ball? Would love those two showcase outfits for everyone in inquisition lol

Hmmm, I did consider it but I didn't think people would want it since Bull/Varric wouldn't be included (at least if you were using it with the linked mesh mods, since they only cover Humans and Elves) so not everyone would match. I could make a file if you like, though I'm not 100% sure when I'd get around to it. I'd also need to investigate how advisor outfit swaps work, I haven't tried that before and they're not in the normal appearance file with the rest of the companions+inqy.

The armor looks very good and it is good to see alternatives that replace those awful Descent armor. Will you consider to port the armor for Dwarves as well?

No, sorry. I'd basically have to re make the entire mesh from scratch for dwarves, and honestly the proportions are so different that there'd probably be a lot of issues with textures stretching/squishing. Human/Elf the body types are close enough that tweaking an armor between them is only a small amount of time, unfortunately that isn't the case for dwarf and qunari.

Where can I find these mesh mods? Would love to use this mod, but can't without the replacers first! LOL!

The ones in the photos are linked at the bottom of the description, but they will also work with mesh replacements made by other modders.

Hi! I love this mod, it is a must-have for my Inquisitors now. I did notice, though, that one of the files included is a .fbproject instead of a .fbmod. The "Last Inquisitor for Descent" file.

Hello! I love the Arcanis outfit and would love to have it as my formal wear for my EF Inquisitor - I am only just confused as to how to do so and what exactly to download. I have a formal mesh replacer but the Arcanis link from your tumblr replaces the regular Skyhold PJs - is there any way for it to be a formal option? Thank you so much! Incredible work!

Hi, the Arcanis outfit replaces the prologue mesh (and then points the skyhold outfit to that mesh). To use it for formal wear use the 'Prologue for formal wear' file from this mod. It will still also replace the skyhold pjs, but you can safely uninstall it outside of the formal wear sections :) If you have a different mod that points the skyhold pjs to a different mesh, you can load that one after Arcanis (as long as it doesn't touch the mesh/textures for the prologue aka mercenary coat outfit) and use the prologue for formal to only wear it for formal wear.

At the very bottom of the front page it says it's available on tumblr

You can find the armours in the screenshots and additional Inquisition mods at my modding tumblr.

Sorry but daimod is an old format and it doesn’t have the full power of the Frosty mod tools (it’s actually Frosty’s precursor). I provide daimod files for my mods where I can but it’s just not possible to do a full mesh replacement like that armour in daimod - the mesh tools are a lot more restricted (first lod only and you can only edit the existing mesh - you can’t add or delete any vertices, adjust the UVs or even reorder the vertices, it’s really fiddly).
