it worked on my existing save, with the perks to increase stacks already gotten. haven't tried it on a new game or a save without those perks
i used to use the 99 potions frosty mod that's on the nexus and that worked for me, but there's people in the comments stating it didn't work for them and they still have the default amount. so there may be something weird with how potions work that just editing the max potion amount to 99 doesn't always work?
do all 3 show default? potions + tonics + grenades?
I don't have the perks yet (haven't played enough to get it right now, I only started a couple days ago), so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.
All three show the default amounts. I've tried going back and forth in saves to see if maybe it wasn't showing 99 because I had 1/8 healing potions left when I last stopped playing, but even going back to a save where I had full potions didn't work. I've tried three different mods that raise the potions amount (More Healing Potions, Potions - Tonics - Grenades - Oh My, and this one) and none of them worked. Not sure if it's an issue on my end (not having the perk to raise the potion amount, using an existing save, etc) or if it's an issue with the game where just changing the default number of potions doesn't work. Or maybe it's an issue with Frosty, though the rest of my mods work fine on Frosty, and none of them change the potions as far as I know.
Not sure how quickly I'll be able to test if it's an issue with not having the perk upgrade since it has a requirement of 3 points in the category, and I haven't put anything into forces yet. I'll keep playing with the mod enabled and see if anything changes though. But if you're ever able to figure something out, I'd be happy to hear about it :)
i actually uninstalled my own mod, went into the game, saved, and put it back on, and the potions weren't working, but tonics and grenades were. i have no idea how this works or doesn't work, i looked back in frosty editor and there's nothing i can see that i could change additionally to this to make it work consistently (i'm also very new to frosty editor).
i have also noticed that sometimes it says default when i'm in haven/skyhold, but it's correct when i'm out of there doing stuff (like going to the hinterlands).
the only other thing i can suggest is loading them lowest in fmm so they're the last loaded when dai loads so absolutely nothing could overwrite them.
Damn, thats odd considering how recently you uploaded this mod. I haven't noticed it working in other areas outside of safe zones like cities and such, so its weird it works like that for you and not me. Tonics and grenades still don't work for me either. I even have it loaded lowest already so ig theres not much else I can do. Seems it could be a recent problem with the game rather than an issue with your mod specifically, which is also odd since it doesn't seem like theres been an update between now and the day you uploaded your mod.
Thank you for checking it out anyway, and if you happen across a fix or solution I'd be grateful! If I figure something out myself I'll also mention it.
So, interesting update: The mod suddenly started half-working for me, but only on non-healing potions, tonics, and grenades, so I have a stack limit of 99 for all of those, except healing potions.I did get the upgrade for my healing potions, but the total still stays at 12 rather than 99. I didn't really do anything different or add any new mods except for a plugin that would fix frosty being unable to launch Inquisition from Steam/EA, but I don't see how that would change anything. Last I played, my stack number for my non-healing items were all at their regular base-game amount too. If it changes anything, my current location is The Western Approach, and I loaded in from the Craggy Ridge camp. I haven't reloaded my game at all or fast travelled since I first opened the game (at the time of posting this). The point I'm at in the game is I recently acquired Skyhold but haven't started the main objectives yet (I prefer to go around doing some side quests before continuing main quests in most of the games I play). So, just after Skyhold but not any further.
Not sure if you can do anything with that but I thought I'd give an update! I'll keep an eye on my healing potions to see if the amount changes at any point.
Oh! That seemed to actually work. I wasn't expecting it to, since I have tried using that mod before and it wasn't working at all, but it's suddenly working now. Not sure if I had somehow done something wrong on my end the first few attempts, or if it's the mod/game being picky about when it decides to work, but either way, it works while pairing with your mod. Thank you :)
Hello, thank you so much for now I have such a huge amount of very necessary tonics and potions! Although I need a lot of grass, but it doesn't matter, the most important thing is that you have made an excellent mod and necessary! Good luck and good health to you!

... existing save game (Inquisitor lvl 5) all potions 99, but healing potions still 8.
i might look into it, but i can't promise anything.
