I finished the main campaign and started descent, but for some reason the game crashes when loading up certain zones in the DLC. I've tested and found that the game works fine with all mods but this one active, does anyone know why?
I'm at 30 hours, started as a mage, do not recommend. battlemage or warrior is more fun. My only issue is the "stamina", doesnt work here, I wish I could remove it. In dark souls if you are out of stamina you can step back. In DAI with this, if you are out of stamina you cant attack and cant defend, you have to turn your back to your enemy and run, there is no kitting either, is that you just stare at your enemy for 2 seconds before the next attack, at which point you cant only do a single hit any way. Not only that but companions also arent aware of stamina or poise.
Any tips for avoiding party deaths? Party members don’t know we’re playing Dark Souls now and they get wiped out basically every encounter. Playing on normal, early game right now where theoretically encounters should be easy.
Helloo! Just wondering how you got this working? Currently trying to make it work with Frosty but whenever I try to launch it it just crashes once it reached the opening loading screen, I'm a bit new to this so sorry if its a dumb question! ^^'
Crazy it took this long for someone to really fix the combat. Dragon age 1 had a good combat mod that I loved, game felt very tatical. Inquisitions though, combat was unplayable, i just turned difficulty down to the minimium and was playing as a story only experience. Maybe now i'll have fun with the combat.
yeah the vanilla combat is ass, really get old and everything is far too spongey. dragon fights are especially boring and tedious (youd think theyd be more fun since the game is named after them)
this isn't a perfect fix but I had fun plaything through the game like this
supposedly the devs said theyre taking inspiration from souls games for DA4's combat, so hopefully they emulate the style without being derivitive (Lies of P manages to do it, so we'll see)
Thank you for uploading this! Playing with it now. Curious if you have any recommendations for difficulty settings? Honestly, I'm not sure if difficulty settigns actually make a difference lol
They actually do, Each difficulty has increasing health values. Easy > nightmare - 0.4 > 0.5 > 0.6 > 0.8 of vanilla easy and hard both have enemy damage at 1.4x, normal and nightmare are at 2x vanilla
I personally play on the highest difficulty since modding the game, cause I had absolutely busted weapons for my level and was 1-hitting all the enemies you may want to play on hard though cause some fights end up pretty unfair on nightmare LOL
Sweet! I've been playing on hard and it's been going well so far. Combat feels snappy and responsive, but I don't feel invincible or anything. Just out of curiosity, are you finding that you use multiple skills on your toolbar every encounter? I can't imagine using more than a few skills at a time with how quickly combat goes
Yeah I try to use everything on my hotbars, though I could probably use parry more. enemies attack pretty fast though so parrying doesn't seem to really flow into combat unless youre actively trying to do it. also the camera kinda obscures enemies sometimes. I wonder if the E3 2014 camera mod would improve that

Is it compatible with graphics mods or should I just apply this mod and give up on modding the game further?
