This works really well. I just created a video using only this to dub one of the Dragon Age Comics. It would pretty easy to use to be honest. I got a surprising amount of inflection in the voice acting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYVGM1umTok
This is awesome! I hope someone can use this to make a mod for voicing the missing/muted dialogue in the Bi-Cassandra mod to have the female inquisitor actually say the lines that only the male voice actor recorded. I would literally die for this lol
Ooh, I'm definitely keeping an eye on this, it looks so cool! I'm looking forward to if/when some of the DA2 voices are added, because it (maybe) opens up the possibility of back-porting Merrill, Isabela, and (maybe) Anders' DA2 voice actors into their DAO selves. I'm not super experienced in modding myself, so I'm not sure if it's even possible to replace voice lines (though I know it's possible to access them), but if it is, that would VASTLY improve my immersion with these games.
Again, don't know that that's possible, but I wanted to throw the idea out there in case someone more tech-savvy sees this lol;; Regardless, this looks awesome and will definitely be very helpful for fan projects and such
So if I am understanding this correctly, this app is not intended to modify games, but instead it re-creates voices from video games, so you can use them with your own text in other projects such as podfic or fan created stuff? It is not intended to create new files to replace the voice files within the game? I was really hoping to alter one set of already existing VO audio files to make a new voice for my DA Inquisitor as I'm not a huge fan of the two voice options. (Ok I love one, but it's not always a good fit for my character, but the other option I really dislike)
If you know how to change voice files in the game, then you can also mod the game. I don't actually have any experience with that, so it depends how that bit actually works (if it does). The app just generates audio (.wav) files. You can use them how you wish.
I know that at least in skyrim SE, modders have changed voiced quest dialogue. They have even added new lines with this to give alternative quest endings as well. So if someone has the knowledge or time to learn, it is completely doable.
This is such an innovative mod, I'm so eager to try it! I'm especially excited for when the DAI voice lines come along :)) I'll be able to use customized lines in some of my animations! Thank you soooo much for this! <3
I guess I should have worded it as "Dragon Age 2 gets its own voice pack", as I actually figured you'd do that. :)
Besides, I agree with Portucally, it really is a good idea to keep it all in the same place, especially since the characters are recurring anyways.
As a side note: I'm not sure how all of this works exactly, but since you already have Felicia Day in another version (Fallout... NV?, if I recall correctly) and Gideon Emery potentially in your Skyrim version (I haven't checked out all the voices yet)... would combining those respective voice assets in addition to their voice assets in Dragon Age improve the AI's voice?
As I said, I don't know how this works, just wanted to share a thought - hopefully, this doesn't come off as rude, as it is not meant to be. This really is amazing work and I can't even begin to try and understand how all of this actually works :D
I try to avoid mixing data, because instead of averaging between the two variants, models tend to jump between the two. But if the same va has a voice in another game, I do sometimes fine-tune a second variant from the first model, to reduce training time, and usually also to get to a better final quality, too.

Can't wait for the day DA2 gets its own version and we can hear Fenris' broody voice.
Most DA modders I know also follow DAI page here at Nexus.
I hope you make all companions in the future. I'll keep an eye in here.
Thank you for this great tool.

Maybe some indie devs for Visual Novels could make use of this, too.
EDIT: Is text to speech planned/possible?
