What is with the ridiculous amount of mods that just straight up do not work at all? Why don't we get any installation instructions?

Try unzipping the 7zip file and then dropping the files directly into your frosty mod manager/Mods folder.

Can I make a request? I would love to see the Orlesian masks WITHOUT the hat part and with visible hair. The Mask Shop did this, but, unfortunately, it has been deleted by the creator.

I will try to carve out some time to look at this. I'm not a great mesh editor, but if the mask and hat part are separate objects when the mesh is exported, I should just be able to do what I did with the skullcaps.

So, unfortunately I looked at the female mask meshes-- the ones with a front piece and the back bonnet-- and the 'two' meshes are attached, meaning they're not so easy to delete as the skullcaps (which when loaded into Blender are completely separate selectable mesh components, which allowed me to easily delete the skullcap). Your request is definitely doable (of course, the older mod did it), but a little beyond my scope of mesh editing.

I think for HF there's an NPC one-piece/simple mask mesh floating around that could be imported over the ones with bonnets, but I don't think that mesh exists for the other races : /. I'm sorry.

Is there a way to remove the skullcap for helmets as well?

Most likely (the skullcap was a separate component in the exported hat meshes), but most hairs are probably going to clip terribly.

I would love to have this mod for Dai mod manager, all my other mods are on it and so i can't use frosty at the same time ...

Unfortunately that's not possible-- I can't import the mesh edit required (deleting the skullcap) into the Dai Mod Maker. It's gotta be Frosty for that kind of edit.

This mod does a similar edit for daimod: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/909

You can also look into using both mod managers together: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6928811-getting-dai-mod-manager-and-frosty-to-work-together-is-it-possible/

Trying to install always crashes frosty. My (admittedly quit search only came up with frosty 1.0.5.9. Is there an alternative source I should be checking?

EDIT: Even with the latest version from the discord (1.0.6) it still crashes.

Are you using the Alpha 1 or 2?

Okay, weird. I actually use this on 1.0.6.0 Alpha 2 with other Fbmods + Daimods (using DAIMM). No crashes or infinite loading screens on my end. It works well and had a few hours already with this mod. In any case, have you guys deleted the moddata folder when you install this mod? (or any new mod for that matter) I remember my Frosty Manager crashing on startup whenever I forget to delete the moddata folder after I added or removed mods in my current save.

Honestly I can't even install this with 1.0.5.9 because it doesn't appear in my load order with that version, which was what made me move up to 1.0.6.0 Alpha 2. Hope this helps.

I am confused and sorry to those having issues.

I made the mod using Alpha 1 (which lists itself as being version 1.0.5.10, but I think that's incorrect), and use it with that.

The non-alpha Mod Manager (1.0.5.9) should not be able to launch with this mod, because it was made with the Alpha 1.

I haven't switched over to Alpha 2 yet (no need so far), but good to confirm that it's at least working for someone.

    Great idea, love it !
Sadly frosty 1.0.6  (alpha 2) creates endless loading times with all my mods installed + crashes a lot  whereas 1.0.5.9 loads the game in 2 minutes and is stable. Could you please release a version for old frosty until 1.0.6 is out of alpha state + stable at least ?

Would you be willing to try out the Alpha 1 mod manager and let me know how it goes? That's what I used to create the mod and what works for me. I haven't moved over to Alpha 2 for making or managing mods because I was worried about stability. I don't know of any mods currently that require Alpha 2 yet.

I sadly cannot create a non Alpha FMM version of the mod. The paid version of the older alpha mod maker isn't available anymore, so I couldn't even buy it. Modders publishing Frosty mods with imported meshes that work with the non alpha mod manager were lucky enough to get the paid version when it was available.

tried alpha 2 in hope it would include more fixes than alpha 1 which is why I went with this, but I will try alpha 1 out and let you know my findings
By mod maker do you mean the frosty editor ?

Yes, I meant the Frosty Editor, whoops. 'Mod Manager' and 'Mod Maker' sound like a pair in my brain...

If that doesn't work for you I'll look into whether there's something wrong with the files I uploaded.

Woooow, this is so exciting !!! <3 i never wore hats cuz i always thought it looked plain weird and unnatural, i never understood why they opted for the weird scalp, at least the hats could've come with some random hair bun by default, for example (of the colour of your char's hair). I would've been fine with that. But with the white scalp i felt like inky looked like from the Outer space, maaan

So now i'll finally get to experiment with the hats, yay!! Looking forward to trying this out with various different hair mods to see what fits! <3

THANK YOU, such a cool idea!!! Great job!!
