Yes, I'm afraid this mod is dead. I got carried away with Witcher 3 and what little modding we can do with it before they release modding tools. (Isn't it nice when a game company is going to release modding tools?)
Anyway, I'm going to have a lot more free time in the near future, so my plans to actually come back to DAI and update and make new mods (mesh edit mods coming!) may see fruition soon! Give me a month or so.

Well said. But, despite EA's lack of tolerance towards modding, Frostbite engine is very whiny when it comes to editing game files, so it's still that.
Maybe you could give witchdoodle who has made "scale away" mod, permision to use your chainmail texture in his mod, he only have female armors but for all races :)
you said is was more logical when scale armor was used with chain armor as chain resisted slash type attacks but was easily stabbed through scale armor was worn on top and was meant to resist stabbing strikes however since this is dragon age i doubt that a dragon cares what you wear to fight itXD
Hi! Do you still plan to do a female version of this? Your mod is amazing, but sadly i don't play male characters, and i really hope i could replace these hideous scales with your beautiful chainmail on my quizzie's armours! Also, that's a shame you have such a few endorsements... I've just downloaded it, and I'll endorse it as soon as i can. It's a great improvement of the game, thank you for sharing your work. (sorry for bad english, not my native language)
Hope you are still planning to update this for female characters - it makes a vast improvement for the male characters, and having this for females would make so many of the armors nicer to look at!
Is this mod dead? I check it every couple of weeks or so to see if it's been updated for more than just human male. I play an elven female and I absolutely hate "scale-mail."

I cant seem to get mine to work properly. It removes the scale texture and replaces it with a smooth shiny texture instead of the chain mail
I have tried installing it multiple times to make sure the files were right but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've tried removing certain mods like the leather trousers mod and the no dirt mod.
Either way I think this mod is beautiful when it seems to work right. Good job.
Thanks for the heads up. I checked with the author of the mod manager, and it was the way we re-textured mixed with the version of DAI tools used. I'll re-package it soon.
And glad you like the design. There are still more to come!
