Thank you! This and the weapon replacer are both must have for me. It always bothered me how...ill equipped Alistair and the other warriors were. Like they start with rogue armor and a standard WOODEN SHIELD?! Seriously!?
On the topic of Wardens though, do you think its possible that you could do anything with the warden officer armor and wingless warden helmet seen on this page: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5023410-warden-armor-swaps/
It would be amazing to be able to craft both the the normal warrior and rogue variants and the officer versions (I call them the butt-cape versions :P) of them. And being able to craft both the winged and wingless helmet would be a nice change as well. I've been bringing this to different modders' attention but none have seemed interested in it so far. I'd do it myself if I had any modding knowledge at all. Whether it interests you or not, thanks for this mod and for reading this post :)
I think what you found the random NPC using this armor is the one Corypheus uses to flex his reincarnation ability at the Temple of Mythal (cause he has become a floating head now, lol)
ohh.. well i don't think any of the warden contacts make reappearance after here lies the abyss so you can always disable the mod before that temple of mythal guy but ty for the info. btw, frosty version shouldn't give floating head to that dude if you prefer not to have to disable it before then.
Awesome mod, I'm so glad someone spotted this! I have all the fixes like this for the wardens in DA2 and was sad there wasn't one for DAI.
You might specify that Frosty Fix is only necessary if you don't have DAI through EA's Origin (like if you bought it recently through Steam), not everyone will read the notes on Github. I only suggest this because I don't know if having Frosty Fix will mess anything up if you use it when you -are- launching through Origin ~shrugs~
also about the requirements, it did already say in my requirement notes that the fix is for people who have the game on the EA desktop app, not origin, so i think what i wrote will be enough already, i hope?
i mentioned EA desktop specifically because i know that if you don't use frosty fix and you have your game installed via EA desktop, your mods won't show up at all, unless you use the frosty fix with it. to my knowledge, the steam and origin versions do not have this same issue, so i didn't mention the steam nor origin versions in the requirement notes for the frosty fix for that reason.
also, as far as i can see, it does seem that it's safe to use the frosty fix no matter what platform you have inquisition on on the PC - so origin, steam, or EA desktop, because if you look at the frosty fix UI, these are all options for the supported platforms that you can select when setting the fix up.
however, i only mentioned the use of the fix for EA desktop in my requirement notes, because, i don't think the use of frosty fix is strictly necessary on origin or steam unless you're running into issues with the game not launching when you launch it via frosty.
hope that clears stuff up, but ty for the suggestion anyways! ^^
hi, you're going to have to be more specific , what error? and did you make sure you are running the latest frosty version, 1.0.5.9? and did you unzip the .rar file before trying to apply the mod?
also would reccomend looking at this troubleshooting post by padme https://padme4000.tumblr.com/post/615476038219202560/daimea-frosty-troubleshooting
hi, if you see comments down below, i am working on it. ^^ but i promise nothing cuz i've never replaced an npcs weapons before, so i can't guarrantee success, hope u understand. :3
haum.. so i don’t really know much about types of weapons, I never played warrior all the way through. if someone can suggest me some as you say warden-like weapons then maybe I could try.
the face texture mod is the original alistair mod from here https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2767 but that face texture mod is only for frosty.
i would have to remake the armour mod in a completely different way to make it in daimm unfortch which may not necc work so i doubt i will make it for daimm any time soon, if at all, sorry, i have other projects. :(
but if u are worried abt not being able to use ur daimm mods with frosty, some daimods can be loaded directly thru frosty! i wrote a reply comparing the 2 mod managers at this link https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8499303-modding/ maybe it will help u! ^^

Also, what's the face mod?
