Okay so my game says it is up to date, I own all DLC content, yet when I try and load this save, it says that it is using a newer version of the game than what I am, any idea why and how to fix it?
It means that this save is made with a newer patch version than what your game is currently running. Go to your hard drive, open Program Files (86)/Origin Games/Dragon Age Inquisition/Update/Patch and, using notepad, open up the "package.mft" file. Where it says "Version #", you can change the number to 13. Then save the file and close it. Run your ModManager and then make sure that the mod patch package.mft file version is 14. This should allow you to open the save. If that doesn't work, you can try upping the patch version # to 14, and the mod patch version to 15. I hope this fixes it for you!
Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work in making these saves. Just downloaded this one and now patiently waiting for MQunari Mage. I love Dragon Age, but doing all the side quests a million times to experience different characters is not something I'm capable of. Cheers!
My only disappointment with dwarfs in this game is the lack of dwarf-sized romance options. Beyond that, I LOVE playing dwarfs! There'll be more to come, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy playing Neda!
I might have to learn how to make mods. Hair mods for male dwarfs is so limited! And there's only one beard mod, and it doesn't really make the beards look better. There needs to be more dwarf-ish beards out there! :D
I wish I could help you with the mesh modding, but I do not have any experience with the 3D modding. I have a little bit of knowledge with the normal texture map modding (Thank's LadyGoDiva ).
My Modding-Teacher LadyGoDiva has told me that´s the best to use the 3D's Max for mesh modding and that's difficult/special to do mesh modding for DAI. I'm still waiting for her answer how to do mesh modding for DAI exactly. Because I want/dream to do something dwarf-ish for the great hall of Skyhold. First I had dreamed of Paragon statues in Skyhold, but that's not possible, or will finally not looking good. Sorry, it's difficult to explain. A short part of what LadyGoDiva told to me by time: "We can't import a mesh unless it is a reshaped version of that same mesh. You can only stretch, hide parts, and move around bits of it. You also can't add or subtract any parts from them. Having the number of vertices off even by just 1 will cause ModMaker not to accept the new mesh."
I think beards and hairs will be not so complicated. Your idea with the dwarf beards is great. Yes, there need to be more powerful/beautiful beards for male dwarfs! Maybe some beards like in DAO. I like this long braided beards and hair with some metal (especially the golden ones ) parts in them.
I wish you'll find out how to do 3D modding and then much luck with making your visions/dreams of beards and/or hair come true.
I keep thinking that I should give it a try but then I start reading about how and I don't understand any of the concepts well enough and I haven't really got the patience for learning. Until I finally decide I just need to make it happen, I will continue to dream of someone making a mod that gives us DAO beards in DAI!
