Would using this allow me to put Solas in the Inquisitor PJs? So that in conjuction with the Dread Wolf PJ replacer I could have Solas in a purple bodysuit open to the navel? Because I really want that ~drools~
AFAIK it'll change each armour's Solas entry to the Elf Male Player entry on that armour, if you select those options. In short, it should do what you want.
It depends on how the other mod works, though. If it copies the DLBH over the original, well that's what this mod does, too, so it will probably conflict.
Squee! I'm not sure what DLBH is, so I'm gonna test it, but yeeeeesss, even the possibility makes me so happy! I have so, so, so many of your mods, you are so brilliant, thank you for responding. Also, whether this works or not, these mods have let me have so much fun, thank you for being awesome!
Realized I never replied with how this went, and I just replied about another of your mods from that testing, so.....sorry. Anyway, it works! Lovely Solas in my favorite color with revealed abs! I'm so happy you make mods, so may of yours are just must-haves for me.
I *think* so ... it changes all the right files to look like Iron Bull's.
There is also an issue with the neck that I did not fully understand. The developers created a neck file that is integrated into his equipment, which players' equipment doesn't have. As a result, Bull might appear to have a disembodied head if he lives like the Inquisitor.
While I don’t believe this will lead to neck issues for players, there is a possibility it could. Please test.
What should I do in order to enable the human female options to an elf female? I'm using a mod that gives the elf Sera's body, so it should be compatible, since the options work with her
I would recommend that you pretend your character is HF for the purposes of this mod and see if it works if you Change "Inquisitor Female Human" to ... well any of the available options. If that doesn't work, try changing "Sera" to one of the available options.
The reason I would try this order is because although you say your other mod gives the elf Sera's body, it's likely that for all other in-game reasons it's still the Inquisitor, not Sera.
Yeah, thats how it is. The game still treats me as Female Elf Inquisitor and do not register any change for neither option. The mod is working, tho, since it works on an actual female human. I even attempted messing around with your mod a bit, duplicating every IHF entry I've found and changing it to IEF, but I guess it's more complicated than that, for it didn't work
I don't think you have to do any messing around. It should just work.
There are no EFs to swap things with (the only EF companion has HF body). But that doesn't matter because for all intents and purposes, you're no longer EF. If you were EF, there's nothing the mod can do for you.
So, it is not possible to swap Inquisitor with companions of the wrong body on purpose? An elf with Iron Bull or a Qunari with Cassandra? The way I understood it, you didn't made that an option only because the result would be a mangled body, just like the screenshot you've sent to somebody else showing a qunari wearing elven clothes. So my reasoning was that, if I could enable the same options a human Inquisitor have for an elf inquisitor, while having a human body, the swap would happen without issue
You need the character to have the correct body or it'll warp, and that's why I only swap the correct body types. Well.. .not really, I didn't even give it a thought.
See, the way it works is that each armour piece (arms, leg, body or all-in-one) is linked to a file called ItemPartAppearance. That then links to all the different variations (it has all the companions and then all the possible combinations of inquisitor qunari male mage, etc) so the game knows which model to apply to each character when that armour is worn. This mod just swaps the numbers around in each ItemPartAppearance file.
I think it's *possible* to do what you want, but I don't understand how changing the body ... what that means for what the mod would have to do.
Have you got a link to the other mod? How does it equip the correct gear? It must change what's recognised as EF to what's recognised as HF or else it changes every armour. That being the case, you just need to pretend your character is HF for the purposes of all other mods, right?
I just started playing with it to see how it works, and it seems I misunderstood it entirely. I thought this option was a body swap, but it seems to be just a mesh edit of the pajamas to look like her proportions, because it only works when on PJs, but as soon as I equip any armor, it's back to skinny elf. A pity. I wanted to play a circle elf in Viv's fancy robes to make things fresh 😅 Ty for trying to help anyway
I'm a little confused on what this mod does. Does it allow companies to wear the armors of others companies or just there basic outifts. Because I want to make Dorian and Cole to use the inquisitiors armors that we craft.
It's a mod manager mod. Frosty tends to dislike configurable mods, but occasionally one might work.
There is a workaround to get modmanager to work with Frosty but it's a little complex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiXuixE8vr0 You have to set the modmanager configurable settings before doing the Frosty stuff, so it is rather counter-intuitive when it comes to being able to flexibly configure mods. All that said, it's possible!
I was looking for a mod that lets me change vanilla armor to the armor of my followers.Tried Sera's Breaches, Live Like Viv, Live Like Sera, non worked. This one works, all-in-one and easily customizable. Thank you so much!
THE ONLY, SINGULAR, NON INFLUENTIAL, PATHETIC, LITTLE glitch is that some hairs clip with Vivvene's collar-thingy, but that's all right. Mod's great!
UPD. Started using Frosty and it doesn't support this mod. To install this mod with other mods from Frosty, you have to Merge this mod and only this mod with Mod Manager - go into your game folder/update - remove the Patch folder - rename Patch_ModMenagerMerged into Patch - run Frosty. Frosty will run all the mods correctly and this mod will change all the armors into the ones you want. Will probably work with other mods, that Frosty doesn't support but you will have to go through the steps every time for those mods. WARNING! Do not install other mods this way. If Frosty can run them - let it. If you test your luck too much the game will load infinitely on startup.
Hi, I love your mod!! Just a question, I can't manage to get the 3rd image pj (Vivienne's Superior Battlemage Armor) for my inky, only Vivienne's usual pj. Am I doing something wrong?
If I understand which one you're talking about, that's a backup appearance. Later versions of the mod use fancypants appearances instead of backup appearances for gear that wasn't designed for the character.
I think version 7 might do what you want. Please let me know either way.
Hello, I would like to know if your mod is compatible with, Live Like Viv, sera's breeches and Cassandra's Wardrobe. Thanks in advance for anyone who will respond.
So, I'm a little confused here. I have been trying to get this mod to fully work but I'm at a loss. I set Cassandra to wear the Inquisitor set but when I get back to Haven or Skyhold she's wearing her default PJs. I have tried remove all of my other mods and just running this one, but I'm still not seeing any changes. When I'm not in a hub-space, she does wear the Inquisitor PJ's (under the armor/unequip). I don't have the "set to default PJs" downloaded and I have tried the older versions of the mod as well. Did I miss a step, or do I need to go in and edit something?
You're right. I'm very sorry, but when they're in the base... well yeah. As I've mentioned on the Articles tab above, I really tried.
Let me ask you a question.. does the mod work with FrostyMM? If so, then it might be worth experimenting more, but if not, then there's no point.
The trouble is that when the companions are back in the base ... and this is guessing, so please forgive me if I'm wrong ... the gear in their spawn templates seems to be in these subworld bundles or something. I think they load and unload from memory as you approach them? I don't know, it's weird. But the upshot is that when you go near one person, the model for the others might not be in the bundle, so if you try and use the other person's appearance, they tend to be invisible. There are some encouraging exceptions like Sera's gear shows up on Cassandra, and Cole's appears on Blackwall.
Like I say, it's weird and I don't understand it and I'm sad about it. I really wanted it to work.
I would guess that putting all of their gear in a superbundle (I'm just saying words, I have no idea what that is) then it'd be able to access them anywhere. I have been reluctant to do so because I don't like to work use FrostyMM because it doesn't support all of my mods.
When I attempted to run the mod through Frosty the game freezes and stopped responding. When I did run the mod with Frosty, I did have other mods on so that could have contributed.

Do let me know how you get on.
is this compatible with trespasser, Specifically male qunari wearing iron bull's armor?

I finished trespasser with live like whomever for male qunari to ironbull
You are a legend!!

BUT... there are race and gender restrictions here, right?
Never mind. :-)I can't have my elven female mage look like Viv?
(asking before trying, I admit :-D )
