If you want to use Vivienne's Outfit retexture from this mod without the infinite loading screen issue, download the Vivienne file from DAI Frosty Texture Glitch Fixes and place it lower in your frosty load order than the complexion and outfit from this mod.
Make sure it looks like this, and everything should work as intended:
The fix doesn't work anymore, unfortunately. Without the fix - it's infinite loading, with the fix - you will be getting DirectX Error/Crash regardless of load order position.
I have just tested in game right now and it still works (went to 3 seperate areas with her and no crash). Your issue may be due to another mod, but for my modlist, it still works. Even before I used the glitch fix file, I was getting infinite loading screens, not DirectX errors. It may simply be a mod incompatibility you have. I also know the frosty fixes file can just flat out cause crashes on some systems, and be completely fine on others, that may also be part of the problem.
The only issue I have found is with this fix, once you kill the final boss (in the base game), the game will not go past the final cutscene and will freeze indefinitely until the outfit retexture is flat out removed. Once you are past the final boss and end cutscenes, you can reinstall it back if still wanted.
For the record, this fix may legitimately not work for every person, just stating that for me, it still works, albeit with some caveat's.
The fix file works great for the Concept Art Retex mod, fixes the kaleidoscope effect and causes no crashes. It's literally only the outfit in this mod that has infinite load or DirectX Error with Fix applied. I have over 50 mods installed, including re-tex's for Cass, Bull and Sera and none of those even needs the Texture Fix applied to work. It's literally just the outfit from this mod, since none of my other mods, apart from this mod's complexion tweak, have anything to do with Viv / change any of her files. And that's what others have been saying as well - this outfit MAY work for a time, but keeping Viv in your party long enough WILL cause these issues to come up.
Starting one game and traveling a bit doesn't mean anything - play through the story, do some quests with Viv, save in the world and restart and your results will likely change.
I just did a 100 hour playthrough with Vivi in my party a lot of the time with that exact load order I posted, and outside of one infinite loading screen (and no DirectX errors) on the final boss, I didn't have a single error, or crash a single time. Obviously this is not the case for everyone, but that is my experience.
the hairs didnt showed on heaven and skyhold i wonder to know the why in others maps working perfectly. somebody know the why ? i wrong something on frosty order mod ?
For anyone who wants to make Viv's hair permanent, install the Chargen Bundle provided by Kitten Tails. This 100% worked for me and now my Viv has that super cute and sharp bob cut (that does not clip with her outfits) wherever we go!
I used Chargen Bundle to make these work for Vivienne. I have ECC and sliders in BE. I place Chargen Bundle, Viv hair, complexion below ECC in load order. I have a large number (70, a large number for this game) of mods active, including appearance mods for the other NPC, with full appearance modifications for Sera. All work great.
Seems there is some sort of issue with your Vivienne outfit mod. When I use it with your face mod (no hair change) I either get an endless load screen when she is in my party upon travel or if I use change party sign to select her at camp she is then invisible. I have no issues if I use just the face mod.
Wanted to thank you for this mod. While changes are subtle, they are just perfect. Her original skin was so shiny as to make it oily. I also very much like the hairstyle variations. I can't endorse it yet since i've just downloaded it, but rest assured, i'll be back to do so. Thank you, friend.
PS: Definitely agree with Cailan33 that Vivienne would look amazing with some makeup changes, but for me just keeping them subtle would be great. That's only if you're open to suggestions. I could do it myself, but since i've returned to the game, modding has changed so much that i can seem to get a working dds in Frosty to save my life. I either tells me it is not the right format, or looks completely wrong if package up and tested in game. :/ not sure what the issue is, but meh. You people are doing great, so i can safely rely on your hardwork to do what needs to be done. High praise, thanks and kudos to you!
i really like this one awesome job, but would have liked to have a bit more options make up wise like darker eyeshadow and eyeliner and a bit darker lips. like this one cassandra mod if you know what i mean. other hair is too much to ask i think and totally understandable.
