Got "Error:[string "TargetFpsMinEdit =UDF1.ComponentByN..."]:167: bad argument #1 to 'floor' (number expected, got no value)" when i tried running this. had another error when i first tried running it but this time i got this one instead.
This is great, I've been hoping someone out there would make something like this, if only I could get it to work though lol. Something is definitely wrong in my end and will have to figure out what it is, yet here is to hoping maybe Daewa or somebody out there once had the same issue as me and have found a workaround.
I get this error message after pressing the execute button to make it start, "Error:Failure determining what igo64.dll means." Also right before trying to use this program I updated origins so don't know if maybe the new update had to do something with it? This is all new to me, so had to google what igo64 was and I think that's the origins program itself?? So confused on what happened. =(
And thank you Daewa for making and sharing this, I'm sure once I figure this all out it will be a big benefit for me.
Okay I gave it a try today and made sure to turn on the game overlay as you suggested, and sadly that doesn't seem to work either. I wish I could send you a screenshot through here, since basically on my origins account I turned on "In game origins" and even turned on, "allow unverified games." since maybe I thought that had to be on as well to make it work.
Yet that didn't do the trick either, so then turned on "to show FPS display" thinking maybe that had to be on but nothing. After all that I even removed my mods, removed the reshade I used, and also an optimizer I use for inquisition for low spec laptops/computers. I thought one or even all conflicted with the program somehow, yet that isn't it as well. =(
Anyways sorry for putting all this reading and problems on you Daewa, something is definitely wrong on my end, because obviously it works for you and probably many others. I'm hoping there might be a possible solution to this and don't mind trying out ideas from anybody at this point. In the meantime when I'm able I'll think of something else to try and see if that might make it work.
Hopefully in about 6 months or so when I plan to have a better laptop, that might solve all of this....maybe the one I have now is just buggy. Who knows. -_-
After further examinations, the problem is the tool. In short, I thought one address check was enough, well it isn't... 1.1 has 3 checks now, and I hope it will be enough for you, because it's still unreliable unfortunately. As long as it relies on Origin, it won't be.
Tried it yesterday, and was all happy thinking it might finally work...but nope the problem still happened on my laptop lol.
It's okay, for all I know though it works fine on others...yet mine just doesn't seem to do the trick. I'll just wait for further new updates than if you choose to continue improving on it as the months go by. Maybe then it will work for me, since what you made is a good thing to have, so I'll be sure to test it out again.
It's probably a good thing it didn't work anyways or I believe I'd find another excuse to play dragon age for hours, when I should really focus on other things I need to do besides playing as the awesome inquisitor nonstop. :3
Thanks for making the effort to get this working! I am using the in-game scale slider version and I naively thought I could set it to x2.0 since I have a nice beefy graphics card, but it completely killed the game's performance, affording me around mid-20 FPS. Works nicely at around 1.25 though!
Looks interesting! Will I be able to set x2.0 scale without it ever scaling down based on FPS?
Also, I assume you'd have to run this tool each time the game is launched? If so, is there a more permanent method to change the scaling value for the game permanently?
Next version will have manual scaling so you can freeze the scale to x2.0 The game resets the scaling each time it is loading or each time you ALT+ENTER or ALT+TAB, so you can't perma x2.0 unfortunately.
For the time being, I think you can set Scale Min and Scale Max to 2.0 and it will stay that way.
edit: yep, I confirm it works for now. Set both Scale Max and Min to whatever Scale Value you want to maintain.
Well I got Windows 10. This tool rely on Origin I think in order to get current FPS. I'll try to find a workaround. Sorry :/
Edit : Bad news, I don't think I can get current FPS without Origin...(I don't know how anyway) You'll just have to wait 1.1 for manual scaling. Again sorry.
Nope nothing works unfortunately. Is your Windows 10 updated to the latest Creators Update? Because mine is, so I don't know if that is maybe causing a problem?
It is. Strange... Try enabling Origin In Game Overlay, that's where the FPS Counter is coming from. Anyway, I'm trying to use the ingame FPS Counter but I'm having trouble finding/tweaking offsets and base address, if that rings any bell to you. You could use the developper console and type Render.ResolutionScale 2 for now. Well, thanks for your patience.

Error:[string "TargetFpsMinEdit = UDF1.ComponentByN..."]:167: bad argument #1 to 'floor' (number expected, got no value)
When I use the cheat engine one I get:
Error:[string "RequiredCEVersion=6.7
..."]:172: bad argument #1 to 'floor' (number expected, got no value)
and I do have Cheat Engine 6.7 (I even had version 7 but I uninstalled it and installed 6.7 just in case)

Make sure Origin in game overlay is activated.
Also thanks a lot for your support!

Well, 1.1 is out. Fingers crossed.

What's your graphic card though? I'm curious.
