Hey all! I wanted to give a big thank you to everyone that has supported me. It took some time, but I'm finally employed full-time. Unfortunately, I won't be making any more mods for DAI, but I do look forward to modding the next Dragon Age. Hope to see some of you then.
And to those of you having issues getting my mods to work, try the following:
Go your game folder, where Dragon Age Inquisition is installed. One way to get there is to right-click on the game's shortcut icon (the one you click to launch the game), click on 'Properties' and then click on 'Open File Location.' When there, look for the 'Update' folder. Inside that folder is another folder called 'Patch.' Within the 'Patch' folder is a file called 'package.' Right-click that file and open it with Notepad. Where it says 'Version 11,' you change that to 'Version 12.' Save and close. You should now be able to run mods that require 'Patch 12.'
I felt the skill trees in previous DA games were adequate, but the trees in Inquisition felt pointless and prohibitive to me right from the jump. This mod works flawlessly and fixes the problem.
I've got the GotY Steam edition, I've installed this mod w/ the latest version of Frosty mod manager, and I've played all the way through The Descent -- perfect performance.
I cannot get this mod to work so I have a few questions.
Does this work with the latest game version? Answer: Yes Do you have to start a new game when you first install this mod? Answer: No Does this not work with the skill revamped mods? Answer: Yes Does this have to loaded after other skill mods? Answer: It has to be loaded first
Problem: The issue was the load order. There was no mod conflict.
Solution: I put the mod at the top of my load order and it worked.
How to do this: 1. Rename the files like this: [A or 01], [B or 02], ect. This will help organize it.
The brackets aren't read as a part of the name but the order of the list is.
It's been about a year since I last played, but I don't believe load order matters. Out of curiosity, have you updated your version number? If not, head over to your game folder, where Dragon Age Inquisition is installed. Warning: I can be a little be of an idiot when it comes to some things. I am going to assume you mean the file you directed me to on your first comment.

Hmm. The only other thing I can recommend is to isolate the mod, I'm afraid. Not sure what other mods you have installed, but I'd start a new game with just this one installed and level up once to see if it works (it should, otherwise I probably would have received tons of hate mail), then I'd install the other mods one at a time until I determined which one is the culprit. It's a somewhat lengthy process, but it's the only way, unfortunately.
It's a possibility. When I made this mod there were no mods that conflicted. Perhaps there are newer mods causing issues. What mods do you have that affect abilities?
Thanks for letting me know. This should help others in the future who come across the same issue. Would you mind saying which mod was conflicting with mine?
Hello, I’m at the same issue. The only mods I have and have ever downloaded r No perks (first) then No skills (second). I saw to put “No skills” at the top of the list, no luck still.
There are a lot of mods that can cause the character screen freeze in Descent and Trespasser. Namely complexion mods, ive also had pajama replacer and skill mods be the cause. For descent it was the inquisitor tree skill mod causing the freeze. I have also found that skill mods work better in dlc as DAIM than frosty.
Yes! Years later and it still works awesomely :D I hope you're checking your pages from time to time jerrybullet, your work is outstanding! (coming from a mod user-only member, but kudos is kudos)
Jerry gonna come back on DA4 and make it look like DA6 >:)
Hello, this mod is very interesting but where i have to place the file. Sorry, it's certainly simple but i've never installed a mod whitout NMM. Please, It's only remains me 5 skills point to reach the POWAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!.
you should download this http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/693/? then chose to download mod manager >> some where make a folder called Mods can even name it Dragonage Mods . this is where your dai mods will go.I would not put this folder inside the game folder mainly so that if you need to repair your game the game doesn't delete the mods you have in this folder. I would place your mod manager here to then pin to start or make desk top shortcut.. Once you start the manager .it will say you have not set up a path. Top part is the pather you will need to sellect your created folder. bottom one you need the exe from the game folder so select for example. C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition >> then the exe and you should be set.. you will have to run the manager every time you wish for a differant mod added and merge them .Be patient when the window comes up don't close the merge window till it finishes. If you want to uninstall a mod .make sure that you open the dai mod manager again click the mod from the window and click the deactivate button.. Really hope this helps
Thank you so much! I hate having to pick so many crap abilities just to get to the good ones (like Fire Mine for example, all the way at the bottom of the fire tree!)
This is far too much power for one incredibly indecisive person to have. I am overwhelmed by the freedom you have given me. And I love it. Thank you so much for all the hard work you've done and continue to do. <3
So does this work properly on patch 12 with all DLC? Would really like to incorporate this into my mod collection but cant find any info on wether it worketh or not

I am somewhat new to modding and I really want to use this mod.
What are the usual reasons a mod doesn't load? Maybe I can try those.

I took out all of the mods except this one and it worked on it's own.
So the problem is two mods conflicting with each other.
Thank you! Now I know how to fix my problem. I'll let you know what solution I come up with.
