Regarding a fix for this mod of yours to be used in the Trespasser DLC you may wish to speak with elvici who made Sun-Kissed Cullen. Elvici's work around was to make a "Happy Shiny" version. Apparently, everyone in Trespasser must remain sweaty.
Unfortunately, the problem with this mod and Trespasser isn't one that can be fixed with the current tools, as far as I know. The mod won't cause the game to freeze or crash when playing the Trespasser DLC (I've never had that problem, at least), the changes the mod makes just don't show up.
I tried the Trespasser version of the Sun-Kissed Cullen mod to see if the modded textures showed up properly with it, but I have the same issue there as I do with this mod. No freezing or crashing, just no visible changes. In fact, I was able to run the non-Trespasser version of the Sun-Kissed Cullen mod with no problem, with the exception of no visible changes. Cullen always uses his default textures in Trespasser, sadly.
Seriously. I can not post that enough. I appreciate that you kept his look and didn't turn into a Baywatch Wannabe. Instead that you simply enhanced the adequately sexy Curly heartthrob we all love so much. Here. Take my endorsement, and my love. x
Good lord it's like I got a pair of new glasses when I opened the game and took a look at Cullen. Thank you for these!
I have a little question... "My personal ReShade settings do include some additional sharpening." May I ask about these settings? For a couple of days I've been playing around my preset but I'm never satisfied enough with it. Are you willing to share some tips which settings you edited to achieve that crisp look?
Hah, thank you! I use the LumaSharpen setting for sharpening, but I also have FXAA turned on to help with any too-sharp edges as a result of that (SMAA is turned off, however). These are my current FXAA and LumaSharpen settings: http://i.imgur.com/yqEJiKS.png
LumaSharpen's "sharp_strength" setting was somewhat higher for a few of the images I've posted here - around 0.65.
Here are my in-game antialiasing settings that I use in combination with the above ReShade settings: Post-Process Antialiasing: High Multisample Antialiasing: 4x MSAA
Oh, thank you! It seems that SMAA was the main culprit for making all my tries futile to get detailed sharpening, since it seems to blur literally everything on the screen for me. FXAA really does make the whole thing look better combined to other settings.
Again, thank you for these fantastic textures and looking forward to your future work if you decide to make more!
Thank you! I currently have no plans for more armor retextures. I have been thinking about doing high res face textures for the other companions and advisors, but haven't made a decision about that yet.
Please endulge a a pc-nob... I am now gonna show everyone how little I know with my head held high and hope to get some knowledge here goes: When you speak of the different resolutions... "" set the texture resolution to 4096x4096"" someone said. Do you then set the game to play in this resolution? As in..when I fixed my nvidia settings for this game, I had that alternative. Is that what you speak of, OR do you speak of the actual screenshot? Or do you speak of the editing? Do explain like youre talking to a 2 year old please (without the baby-gurgling...*nod*
And... I have gotten addicted to taking screenshots. If you - oh great master-modder-and screenshot-taker (I just made a thumblblog for my shots, im a nab there too, but now started to explore a bit, already following you!) <3- have some tips for screenshot-tools or settings (resolution...? ) I would love to hear it! If you want, you can PM me, im the same person who whote on your hair texture yesterday (and I never got to posting pics last night, I was to tired when I was done posting my sliders I had to crash in bed, they will come today
There. The nubie has spoken. I awaits your judgement and hope that you will make me a better hobby-sceenshotter and one-with-more-knowledge-of resolution-and such... ^_-
Edit: Ammagawd cullen looks awesome on your shots, i like him close to original. Must use this as soon as i know what im doing
I've tried typing this out three times already but some ad I'm assuming keeps redirecting me to some other page? Anyway.
Don't feel bad! I need this explanation, too. Also the "explain like I'm five" bit will also probably be needed as well. I was going to just stick it in my mod folder and merge the patch but I'm guessing there's more to it than that?
Nope, you just need to stick the mod in your mod folder and merge. The "set the texture resolution to 4096x4096" comment was only directed at me and is done in Photoshop when editing the textures.
Ah, okay! Thank you. I should have figured that would have been in the description if it was needed to use the mod. I can't wait to try it out then, and also thanks for sharing this! I might get around to learning how to use the cinematic tools now. Also your profile photo is very cute!
very nice job, although i'd prefer to set the texture resolution to 4096x4096, cuz it's pointless of setting it to a higher resolution. You wont see any difference. btw texture resolution needs to be square power of two.
Thank you! These mods were originally made for my personal use for up-close high res screenshots, and I did have my reasons for choosing those resolutions. For Cullen's face, I found that the 4k version made the mesh/texture weirdness going on around his nostrils to become more noticeable than I liked, and for Cullen's armor, I actually did see a slight visual improvement between 4k and 5k textures in certain problem areas where the texture really stretches (ex, with 4k on the left and 5k on the right: http://i.imgur.com/0bdmqYC.png).
These probably aren't a big deal for most people, so I'd be more than happy to upload 4k versions of both the armor and face textures! I'll go ahead and get on that.
Thank you! I don't currently have any plans to mod the armor of other companions and advisors in the same way I did with Cullen, but since I've recently started taking more screenshots of the others, I have seriously thought about doing the same thing with their face textures as I did with his (increase resolution, slightly reduce shine).
Cullen's armor was a must for me, though, as the fur was driving me crazy. I had to increase the resolution to 5k in order for the fur to not stretch as much.
