[January 10 2023] V1.0 - Added a version with City Guard heraldry. I had to edit the mesh and the UV because the insigna is not symmetrical. I did not test it much, maybe you will encounter some bugs (please report it if you do).

I'm holding off downloading until we have a non-wardeny edition of her armor but wanted to drop by and say this looks like a great retexture! Definitely going to be a must have part of my mod list! And as you've asked some others I've got to echo the opinion that her having the city guard heraldry on her chest makes the mod more unique than having Kirkwall's. It'd make your mod stand out a bit more (as other mods have put kirkwall's emblem on her armor) and make more sense lore wise.
I am loving all your retextures! I admit I am grabbing the 2k ones because I have way to many mods to use 4k in the 4gb's that DAO and DA2 allow. I like my visual improvements to come without crashing so thank you for providing the option!
I.... will join the other commenters in asking if you would be willing to make a Kirkwall insignia option?
Fixed Avelines Kirkwall Armour solves the issues in QuenchedSteel's original mod. fireandsun replaced the edited mesh of QuenchedSteel's mod with an unedited copy, which fixed the distortion. AzureWitch later made the optional download that has improved insignia placement. Additionally, this Optional Download does not include a mesh as it uses the vanilla mesh files; making the file size considerably smaller and less taxing on peoples computers.
These mods all have very open permissions; essentially do not use their stuff in things you are selling. Their textures, particularly AzureWitch's Optional Download on the Fixed Armour page, might help in adding the insignia to your own textures? At least with the positioning if nothing else?
Sorry if this is too much. I know that this is a lot of work, especially if it is not something you will be using yourself. I will be using your new textures regardless because I care more about the resolution than the insignia. My greedy self just thought it worth asking if the perfect Aveline armour mod was a possibility. Either way, thank you for all the work you have done improving my favourite games!

I perfectly understand what you mean with the 4k textures, that is why I always try to make lower res versions of my mods, sometimes it is not possible though (for example with The Arishok one) because the changes are so subtle that with lower res we can barely notice the difference. I hope the quality is enough for you and that is not causing any issues
I have a lot of requests for the insignia, I will work on it soon and upload an optional version when I am happy with the result I always prefer to do my own versions because if people prefer others modders's versions they can still download theirs (I know how hard work and time consuming it is to do mods so I don't really like "taking" others peoples creations to make my things). Do you prefer the Kirkwall symbol or the City Guard one ?
I understand your desire to make your own version, and I respect it. Personally I would be happy with either insignia option but I admit a slight and newfound preference for the city guard insignia. Not only would it look amazing, but it would be completely unique from the other available texture mods. Unique beyond the improved detail and resolution I mean. Based on previous modders comments I thought whatever insignia was used would have to be symmetrical but I admittedly have not actually looked at the texture file myself. If the lack of symmetry is not a problem than please do go for the city guard insignia. Otherwise I will still be perfectly happy with the Kirkwall one.
Downloading just so that I can endorse, but I'm with DragonPyromania. Gonna wait for the "corrected" version because Aveline is not a Warden-Commander and the HR HD HQ version makes this error even more obvious

Looks great, looking forward to using it (and all your other recent DA mods) in my next playthrough. Any chance of a version with a Kirkwall insignia? It makes very little sense for Aveline to have a Grey Warden insignia on her armor, and this is something that other mods have corrected in the past.

I had forgotten what the City Guard one looked like, I'd say go with that one. Would also further set the mod apart from the other mods that alter it to the Kirkwall insignia.
Thanks for the recent texture mods! They've covered some things that I haven't found updates for elsewhere. Would you be willing to make a version that applies the texture to the NPC guards as well (perhaps with the Kirkwall insignia as sialivi suggested)? I also use Equip Your Party so I don't see Aveline in this armour at all, but Kirkwall's guards could do with a touch-up.

When I am done with companions I am indeed planning on working on npc armors we see often (guards, templars, chantry...) because some are very low resolutions. Won't be that soon I think but I will ! If I remember well the guard texture is not exactly the same as Aveline so I can't just copy paste the texture sadly, but I will check that again to be sure.
That sounds great! There's quite a few mods out there that update DAII's visuals but there's not many for outfits, so they tend to stick out and high res textures would be really appreciated.
(Also I don't think the links for the insignia pictures in your other responses are working)
Yes I completely agree, low res armors are really distracting and that is why I am more texturing than playing these days I can't unsee them and my todo list keeps growing everyday!

And also 2K options please! DA2 has a bad habit (like DAO) to crash when it runs out of memory.
